"Great location across the street from the costal walkway where you can catch beautiful sunsets over the ocean. The hotel is an older property that’s been well maintained. But the star attraction has to be Salt restaurant where the manager Ramesh and his culinary staff offer meals cooked to a high standard far beyond what you expect from a small hotel. If you like lamb you must try their signature dish lamb a toru (3 cuts of lamb). If you’re a traditionalist their English big breakfast is cooked...

"This is a lovely hotel in a great location. Right near the coastal walkway and walking distance to the park. Our suite was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need. If you need to park a vehicle it's a good idea to reserve a spot ahead of time. We didn't, but luckily there were two spots left. Lastly, Janine at reception is an absolute gem!"

"Lovely rooms and outlook. Kitchen facilities wonderful and enjoyable to use with nice outlook out the window. Bathroom large and roomy and well appointed. Two bedrooms to choose from in the Te Awa and beds and linen comfy with large wardrobe space plus drawers and mirrors to use. Friendly dogs that check on you daily and easy access to main highways and surrounding area of the Taranaki. Gayle was wonderful to deal with when questions arose. Walk to the river is a must! "
