"The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and spotless. We had a beautiful view of the ocean from our room, which was very spacious. The bed was quite comfortable and the rooms seemed to be sound-proof because it was so quiet and relaxing. Livermead beach is located across the street; the beach is beautiful, but the sand disappears at high tide, so be sure to plan your beach day around this. We also loved the stunning views from the rooftop terrace bar. We would love to return to Torquay and stay here...

"Nice place, only an overnight stay. A slight walk from the main road if you're on foot, under 10 mins. No direct transport from Newton Abbot station but if you fancy a 30-minute walk it's not a bad route. On the tip end of River Teign and quite scenic with a nice outdoor garden. Guessing you can take dogs in as they have a dog wash on site :) Restaurant and bar has some good choices."

"Excellent from the moment we checked in. Sam directed us to park the car which was too big for the spaces allocated. He provided us with a parking permit so parking was still free. Room was spotless with a fridge in the room. Bathroom was impeccable. Towels provided were new and fresh. Nice to have fresh milk available from a fridge on the landing to use I stems of the UHT pods. Sam and his Wife could not have been better hosts. "Lovely building and really helpful owners / staff . Was really clean and tidy and the breakfast was very good . Only a couple of minor things really , the shower head kept dipping down so was a bit of pain when you were shampooing etc . Bit noisy at night time but obviously the very nice owners can’t help that ."

"Food was great, staff very helpful, bar and dining room very tidy and clean, good range of drinks, both alcoholic and soft although I am out of touch with prices so had a bit of a shock. This is not a negative, just reality. Plenty of parking and convenient at the rear to avoid stairs. Some areas are in need of decorating such as stairwell and corridors however not terrible. Outside areas need tidying around the back of the building but the beer garden/smoking area was good. Wheel chair...

"The room was great for an overnight stay. The only negative was the sounds (TV) / talking / laughing from linked room(s). Things settled after midnight but we had a very early start so didn't get much sleep."
