"The breakfast was, I’d say, better than in a Hotel Ibis. The food was, definitely, locally sourced. We reached Bruton and the Hauser & Wirth arts complex easily from this hotel. We also visited the Jurassic Coast, but that took us a whole day, and we returned by 10pm."

The double room was quite spacious, with it's own short 'hall' to the bath/shower room and door to the main hotel landing, so you enter into a short hall and not straight into the bedroom, nice touch. "A great, and very well (recently) refurbished Coaching Inn, right in the heart of Frome, with a fab breakfast and helpful friendly staff as well. Having stayed in a few "brewery chain" old coaching inns recently where the "updating" seems to involve only a coat of paint and a new shelf in the bathroom, it was very welcome to find that the rooms (anbd bathrooms) at the George have been completely and professionally re-done to "you'd be very pleased if this was your own house" standard. "I liked everything about this hotel. The room was spacious and as well as having loads of cupboard and drawer space it had two armchairs (a rarity these days, in my experience), hair dryer, ironing board and iron. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also a good size with plenty of shelf space for spreading out toiletries, good lighting for shaving, and (also a rarity) simple basin taps that did not require lengthy experimentation to work out how to get hot water. "We stayed at the Montigo Resort hotel as we were going to the Rock and Ribs festival. The hotel is about 5-10 minutes away from the festival by car. The hotel itself has a nice setting and does have a nice relaxed feel. Our room was fine and the bed comfortable. We did feel the room looked a little tired, especially the bathroom. The bath felt like you were going to fall through it and the shower was in the slope of the roof so you couldn’t stand up in it properly. Other than that it was a nice...
