"The George is a really cute historic inn that is situated in a quiet, magical little village - it is literally right across the street from the ruin of a Norman castle. While you need to leave town to get to Frome or Bath, the bus stop is located right outside the inn. It has a friendly little pub that serves good food and is frequented by guests and locals. "Stayed for 3 nights. Parking at the rear always available, From 'check in' onwards the staff were pleasant, helpful and professional, including carrying our bags to the first floor room. The double room was quite spacious, with it's own short 'hall' to the bath/shower room and door to the main hotel landing, so you enter into a short hall and not straight into the bedroom, nice touch. "We arrived around 5:00Pm, for a long weekend the wether was stormy. We struggled to find the place as it is in the middle of nowhere next to a farmhouse. The layout was good with ample space but there’s no shower gels or hand washing soap in bathrooms. Heating stopped working the next day. Tried contacting the Sykes office and unable to get through. Eventually managed to get through to someone who sent an engineer to fix it. Poor internet connection and satellite signal for sat navigation in...
