"Hotel was outdated. The elevator was not working...we were on third floor so had to carry everything up and we had elderly people with. I wish I knew that prior to booking but was not listed. It looks like it has been down for a while they had a sign posted. Even if it did work it was a very small looking elevator. Breakfast was great and staff was helpful. I don't think I would stay again because property was outdated and no working elevator. There are better properties around!"

"The double queen room was very old and outdated. Whatever chemicals they use to clean were so strong it gave me a migraine. The mattresses were AWFUL. By the time we got back from Mount Rushmore, there was no one in the office and the mattresses were so terrible we couldn’t stay. We ended up leaving at 11pm and continued on our trip. Will not be back!"

"The hotel is under renovation. We were originally put in a room that was in such bad condition the bathroom light and fan did not work. We asked for a different room and we're told there was none. We were told the bathroom would be fixed by the time we returned at 10:00 p.m.. when we returned to the hotel our personal items had been moved to a new room. "Surprisingly nice hotel - it would be perfect for people attending events at the monument. They have a very nice pool, breakfast was good and they offered a reception with drinks and popcorn at night including a cultural training from a Lakota gentleman. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The laundry on site was handy and the staff were super helpful as well. The gym is in the basement so we didn’t end up using that and the hot tub jets didn’t work."
