"The team at the Royal Oak were fantastic from check in to check out. Freshly cooked tasty breakfast every morning and would definitely reccommend the sunday roast which was delicious. The team were very friendly and helpful throughout. The location was absolutely perfect!"

"The place was very popular with locals so parking was a bit awkward, we arrived after 6pm and there wasn’t much room to park. Maybe one criticism would be there isn’t reserve parking for staying guests and after travelling 140 odd miles and to be faced with hunting a parking space was as I said a little awkward. But that shouldn’t take away from what was a nice place to visit great food and a generous breakfast, clean room comfy bed."

"Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. "What amazing stay here for New Year’s Eve . It was the cutest place, the enormous gorgeous Christmas had me sold it was amazing and made it extra special all the little extras all the decorations.
