"Planned for my Birthday and it was amazing! Very quiet and serial. Beautiful view of the lake. The cabin itself was very clean but the decks could have been a bit cleaner, full of spider nests on the windows and chairs. All in all still worthy of a definite 5 star. Was very enjoyable!"

"Easy access and great location— 5 minutes from family and downtown. Bed and furniture very comfortable, hardwood floors and tile beautiful and tastefully decorated. All kitchen appliances including a dishwasher and ice maker, laundry on-site. Nice yard and easy access for loading and unloading suitcases and supplies. Best booking we’ve made…clean and accommodating…"

"The house was perfectly situated for me to explore areas in and around Hickory. Quick and easy 5 minute drive to Hickory Lake Park to walk my dog and ride my bike on the off-road trails. 20 minute drive to Bakers Park and Riverbend Park for more trail walking. House was pleasantly cooled with a/c, ceiling fans above the bed, and the mattress comfortable provided for a great nights sleep. "

"This was such a great property for our family! The variety of available water craft (kayaks, SUP, floats) was amazing. Being on a little cove off the main lake meant that we didn’t have to deal with a ton of noise and wake from boats. The house had everything we needed for a week away. We can’t wait to come back again next summer! "

"Our stay at Mallard Cottage was lovely. The lake was quiet, which made for such a relaxing stay. We were able to launch our kayaks, and paddle boards so easily. The kids could launch the kayaks on their own. The cottage looked just like the pictures in the listing. We had everything we needed, and more. The hosts we so kind, and quick to respond. We will definitely be back!"
