"Had a great stay here, it had everything from great food , friendly staff and a well equipped gym and pool. To top it off for us, it’s dog friendly too! All the staff were super helpful and attentive to our needs, from reception to bar and gym staff. Everyone made us feel so welcome, even the gym members. This will be a regular stop off for us whilst visiting my daughter in Liverpool. All I can say is Thank you . Lisa, Lee and Finley x"

"The hotel was in need of some tender loving care. It had clearly been a formidable building in its day and stood in extensive grounds but 3 centuries of wear have not been kind. There was no problem with cleanliness and the staff were excellent. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. We chose this hotel because of the leisure facilities and we were not disappointed. It is a modern retail centre, dominated by the big brands with no independent shops/restaurants/pubs. Fine, if that's your thing. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was generous but standard. This is a one-night stay hotel for a specific purpose, not a tourist hotel"
