"We absolutely adored our stay at the Peter Bay Gatehouse, Penthouse! It was one of the best places we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in. The location was simply stunning, with easy access to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches. "On 6/21/25 we were coming from a 5 day sailing trip in the BVIs and forgot to read the “instructions” so we took a taxi at the ferry terminal. The driver had no idea where the house was. I called the landlord and he gave him directions and finally he found the house.It was a very hot afternoon when we arrived to the property. "The place is well kept and just as advertised. We have stayed in many short-term rentals over the years and I must say that the hosts here truly made us feel like family in a way that no one else ever has. They made our stay so much more special and we would definitely stay here again. The views were amazing from there, the AC worked great, and everything else was perfect for our 5 day escape. They even gave us great suggestions from a local perspective so that we could enjoy the island even...

"We had the best trip. St John is beautiful. We were able to walk to town every night. The hill walk was a workout but we like the exercise. The owner was the best and always answered quickly helped with advice on the island. We really didn’t spend much time in the room because … why would you when you are on a beautiful island? "

"The Vibe Inn really is a vibe... and a wonderful one at that. First off, I did not rent a car for St Thomas but that was not an issue staying at the Vibe inn. It was a short walk from Red Hook (I had gotten off the ferry from St John) and also an easy walk to beaches... just be careful on certain areas of the walk that don't have sidewalks.The check-in process could not have been easier and was just a code sent prior to my arrival. The host was very communicative.The whole place is very clean...

"We really enjoyed our stay - from the balcony, there was a wonderful view of the tops of the trees that covered the valley behind the house. We would watch iguanas eating tropical flowers on the treetops and parakeets flying back and forth. The interior was great too, with a great kitchen and comfortable furnishings."

"We really like Jenny and her Northside Hideaway. There are actually three properties close together so you can have multiple families together and still go take showers and sleep separately. Always well appointed and close parking with only four steps up to walkway that connects all three properties. Highly recommend."
