🏖️ Beach access is just a short walk away at the end of the driveway, making it easy to spend the day by the water. If you're bringing a 4x4 vehicle, the designated beach driving access is conveniently located about one block away near the bay entrance. Beach chairs, umbrellas, a beach cart, cooler, and toys are provided for your convenience.



Guest Access:

You'll have private access to the entire upstairs home throughout your stay. There is a completely separate unit downstairs that may occasionally be occupied by other guests. The downstairs unit has its own private entrance, parking, and outdoor space. There are no shared indoor living areas or balconies, so you'll have your own private space throughout your stay.



The Neighborhood:

Nestled in the heart of Vilano Beach, this home offers a peaceful coastal setting with easy access to everything St. Augustine has to offer. Spend your days relaxing on the beach, dining at waterfront restaurants, or exploring the Historic District just a short drive away. Nearby you'll also find the Vilano Beach Pier, fishing spots, local shops, and the iconic St. Augustine Lighthouse.



Getting Around:

Many guests enjoy walking or biking to Vilano Beach, nearby restaurants, coffee shops, and the Vilano Town Center. For exploring Historic Downtown St. Augustine and other attractions, we recommend bringing a car or using Uber or Lyft, both of which are readily available. While some nearby amenities are within walking distance, a car is the easiest way to experience everything the area has to offer.

Refund Policy



A 3.9% processing fee on refunds is non-refundable. Refunds will be the amount paid minus this fee, per Stripe's policy. This applies to direct booking and bookings made through select booking channels.



General Guidelines

●Pets: A pet fee of $100 applies per reservation for up to 2 pets. Bringing a pet without prior notification incurs an additional $100 fee, and we may end your stay early. No cats allowed. If your pet causes any damages, additional charges will incur to cover repair or cleaning costs.

●Garage Access: Not permitted due to liability. If applicable, garage doors must stay closed.

●Age Requirement: Primary guest must be 21+, with an adult over 21 present during the stay.

Food & Drink: No food or drink in bedrooms (closed water bottles allowed); extra cleaning fees for stains.

●No Smoking: Smoking of any kind is prohibited; $200 fine for violations. Additional charges will incur to cover repair or cleaning costs.

●Trash: Dispose of all trash in outside bins before departure.

●Damages: Report any damages within 24 hours of occurrence or immediately upon arrival. Failure to report damages could result in liability for repair or replacement costs.

●Dishes: Wash all dishes and run the dishwasher (if applicable) before leaving.

●Windows: Keep windows closed for security.

●Laundry: Avoid overloading machines; do not wash sandy items, and clean the dryer lint trap.

●Storage Closet: Keep this area closed and locked.

●Consumables: Leftover items are at your discretion; freshness is not guaranteed.

●Furniture: Do not rearrange.

●Parties & Events: Unauthorized parties are not allowed; violations will result in additional charges and immediate eviction.

●Only registered guests are permitted to stay at the property. If you would like to add extra guests beyond the number initially registered, please request approval before finalizing your booking. Any additional guests that exceed the maximum allowed at the property will incur an additional charge of $100 per person. This requires approval from us prior to booking.

●Illegal Activities: Will result in immediate eviction.

●Quiet Hours: 10pm to 7am. Please be respectful of neighbors.

To help protect both our guests and our homes, all reservations are required to complete the Joseph Ellen Guest Protection Program before check-in.



As part of the simple pre-arrival process, you'll:

Review and electronically sign the Joseph Ellen Rental Agreement.

Choose one of the following protection options:

Damage Waiver: A small non-refundable fee that provides coverage for eligible accidental damage during your stay. This is the most popular option and helps avoid unexpected costs from minor accidents.

Security Deposit: A fully refundable security deposit hold that's released after checkout, provided no damage or policy violations are found.



We'll send you a secure guest portal link before your arrival to complete these quick steps. It only takes a few minutes and helps create a smoother, worry-free experience for everyone.
