Charming, renovated cottage, just blocks from downtown. Ride the 6 seat golf cart to shops, waterfront swings, live music, riverfront dining, and spectacular sunsets. Only a 15 min car ride to Oak Island’s beaches & golf. Unwind in the gazebo, play bocce, or snuggle up for a movie by the fireplace. Sleep soundly in plush queen beds. Enjoy a clean kitchen with Keurig & lattes. Three smart TVs, 1.5 bathrooms and washer/dryer. Must be 24+ yrs old to book. (Signed waiver requested after booking).

This place is fantastic and very clean! I have stayed at a lot of rentals, and this one stands out in the best way! Plenty of room, decorated super cute/cozy, and the owners provided lots of communication and details.The golf cart was such a perk too! We will not hesitate to rent again!

We arrived earlier than expected and the host was willing to let us park at the home. The home was much more than expected…well appointed kitchen, lots of seating, comfortable bed, lots of towels, and having a golf cart was fantastic! We will stay here again!

we reserved the cottage for a special mother-daughter weekend for our mothers Mother’s Day this year and her 79th birthday. Everything was perfect. The cottage was so cozy and tastefully decorated and felt just like Home. The golf cart was such a plus plus because we were able to drive our mother around and she could enjoy all the scenery without getting overtired or too hot. She is already talking about making plans for another visit. Thank you for being a part of making very special memories.

Southport getaway

It was great. The cottage is very well done and inviting.Our best activity was seeing the white Ibis that migrate through here and settle very close to the cottage. Just find the Ibis cottages and they are right behind on the pond.

Great stay at Sunshine Cottage

My husband and I really enjoyed every minute of our first time in Southport. The house was just perfect. Clean, comfortable, adorable and had everything we could have possibly needed. It is a home away from home for sure. The golf cart was a great perk but we also walked into town easily from the house several times which was great too. We would happily rent this house again. We will be back for sure as soon as we can. Thanks Jennifer!

Our annual trip to Southport to celebrate birthdays and our first time staying in this home. We loved it! The house was charmingly decorated, exceptionally clean and many little extras left by the owners. Response to all our questions were immediate. We would definitely recommend and stay there again

Immaculate Property

This property was one of the cleanest and best appointed properties that we have had the pleasure of staying at. The owners were very responsive and on the ball about anything we needed. We enjoyed it for our wedding weekend and used it for the groom and his groomsmen as well as our mini-moon afterwards. We couldn’t have asked for a better property for it. We also want to add recommendations for the vendors for our wedding who were all phenomenal! What an amazing vacation!

This house was most likely the cleanest property we've ever stayed in, which is extra amazing because it's near the beach and so it's a sandy area. Not a speck of sand anywhere in the house when we got there! The location is amazing! It's in close proximity to the restaurants and shops all down Howe Street, but also close enough to the water area. The inclusion of the golf cart really makes this property the most desirable one in Southport. Sure you could get closer to the water, but there would still be places you'd need to drive a vehicle. Not with this house! Golf cart all the time! Jennifer, the owner, was also kind enough to provide us information about bike rentals. We were able to do that through Mr. Beach. It was reasonable prices and flawless delivery to the property. I will note that it's not a true two bathrooms, as the bath off of the master is just a toilet and sink. I definitely could've figured that out if I had paid more attention. I would say it's a factor of how VRBO lists the bathrooms. Even after I figured it out and really wanted a second shower, this property was still the winner for us. We couldn't beat the location and golf cart! We had a small snafu checking in, probably an error on my part, lol, but Jennifer fixed it literally immediately. We also had a small towel situation that Jennifer also fixed immediately. She sent the housekeeper, Donna, to fix the problem. Donna is amazing! Thanks for everything! We hope to come back.

Absolutely Gorgeous!!

We found the Sunshine Cottage to be exceptionally clean, neat, and comfortable. The chocolate chip cookies were a nice surprise since we were starving when we arrived. The Golf Cart was such bonus. The hosts thought of everything. We couldn't have asked for more. We enjoyed the town of Southport. We felt extremely safe and relaxed. Thank you so much for such a wonderful place to stay. You deserve way more then 5 stars!!!

Loved the Sunshine Cottage

This place was perfect for our beach getaway! The house was perfect, very clean, adorably updated and decorated. The golf cart made the trip, it’s in a super cute area so being able to go out around town just using the golf cart was amazing. The host was incredible, very responsive, and made the whole thing super simple and easy. Definitely recommend and will be coming back!

Cute Coastal Cottage Full of Southern Charm

Cozy well-appointed Southern charmer chock full of laid back (l)attitude. Family stayed three nights and it was our base of operations for sight-seeing and exploration in the area. We came back to the cottage often daily and the golf cart was very convenient as well as a lot of fun!

Coastal Charm

Sunshine Cottage...what a fantastic retreat! One adult and two teens give it 3 thumbs up! Everyone had their own space and an enjoyable gathering area for games and watching movies. The golf cart was so much fun and the absolute best way to explore Southport! A beautiful, coastal NC experience...looking forward to returning!

Charming Accommodations

The accommodations were awesome! Very clean, comfortable and relaxing! We enjoyed the outdoor patio and really enjoyed the golf cart. Great communication with hosts and easy check in. Both Southport and Sunrise Cottage are charming!
