"Because of lack of guests, dinner on night of arrival very limited, lasagna and salad and crumble as dessert. All nicely cooked but served in an un-heated "Community Kitchen". Granola, fruit, bread jams juice and coffee for breakfast, again served in a very cold room. Our cabin-type accommodation had reversible air-con and was comfortable. Staff was always pleasant and helpful. "

"What a great spot. It’s been a while since we stayed at a B&B so we were not sure what we would experience. The owner was great, personal, friendly and with a lot of great tips about the area. Room was clean and well organised, with a well-stocked minibar. The rest of the house was also well-kept and clean and the outside area was definitely the highlight with a Chimea, a paddock full of sheep and a nice little walk down to the river. "The Rivulet is located on busy Sandy Bay Road, which makes getting into and out of the property a litte tricky. It is conveniently located to the Salamanca Market, which we were able to walk to (30-40 minutes) and also to the Bruny Island boat tour pick-up location. Sandy Bay Road has lots of shops within easy walking distance (Coles and Woolworth). We especially enjoyed one of the bakery shops where we purchased meat pies and cherry tarts. "Friendly obliging staff "

"The breakfast was excellent and the owner very flexible willing to provide it early. The facilities are well kept except missing some details like towel racks in the shared bathroom. The towels themselves need to be upgraded. Overall It’s still good value for the money."
