Our casual and cozy condo is the perfect rest stop between trips to the sand. Our home is a one-bedroom, but the hallway alcove houses built-in twin beds with privacy curtains.

Long Weekend in SPI

We were very pleased with the location of this condo, and the views from the balcony were incredible! Being just steps away from the beach was a significant advantage.However, the interior of the unit requires some attention. The carpet has stains, and the entire space could benefit from a deep cleaning, along with updates to the furniture and furnishings.Overall, the place met our needs.

The view of the gulf is awesome. Spent a lot of time on the patio. Able to see New Year’s Eve fireworks and valentines day fireworks. It is small, but works . Condo was clean. Laundry was easy to use. Towel and linen exchange is a great service. I would stay in this condo again.

Old, outdated and not clean or modern at all!

Our stay at this property was a nightmare. While technically clean, the issues go far beyond housekeeping. The unit desperately needs a full remodel. The bedroom carpet is old, filthy, and worn down, emitting a terrible odor that made it impossible to feel comfortable. The grout in the non-carpeted areas is stained, and the furniture looks like it came from a thrift store 20 years ago, all of it falling apart and neglected. The appliances, including the refrigerator, are so outdated they belong in a time capsule from decades ago. The entire place reeks, likely from the ancient carpet and disgusting mattresses, which are completely worn out and uncomfortable. Making matters worse, the only bed is a queen—unacceptable for an oceanfront vacation property at this price point. Although the building itself is nice, the unit is a disaster, clearly neglected by the owners. It was so bad that we had to leave after just one night of our three-night stay because my wife couldn’t stand to sleep there another night, causing us to lose 2/3 of our vacation and money. We wouldn’t recommend this unit to anyone. The problem isn’t cleanliness; it’s the need for a complete renovation. Save yourself the disappointment and avoid this place.

Basically satisfied

The overall impression was good. Basically clean except around the floorboards. Could use an update on the bed. BIG DIPPER is what I'd call it. My back hurt on the 3rd day after 2 nights in it. Would book this room again if it had a better bed. Please get a newer bed. I'll be asking about that if I book it again. And I will. If the bed is newer. Staff of South Padre Rentals was helpful courteous and informative. Good choice in propery managers!

A great property on the beach. It has most the necessary amenities of being at home. ( No washer & dryer). Keyless entry makes it easy to come and go. Parking right in front or in a garage. Swimming pool and a jetted pool tiny pool. Supposed to be a hot tub but no heat. We did not call maintenance because if we had they would have been there quickly to fix it. We could not get the football game on the tv, called maintenance and they were there within 45 minutes, had to replace the non smart tv and did it fast. This was our 2nd stay at this property and we loved it.

Could be better

Property was small but clean with a great location on the beach. However maintenance was in and out of my unit 5 times the first two days even waking my young children from their nap without warning! I was only let know of 2 of those times. I complained to the rental establishment but was just told the building manager didn’t let them know and they did nothing about it. The second issue I had was that all the plugs in the house were old and warn and nothing could be charged. It would just fall out…even lights and things at the condo kept falling out!

Pictures are outdated. Better than expected

There are no old dinosaur tvs. Photos outdated is better than the pics. The couch is nicer than one in picture. Has two smaller flat screens so tv was better than expected. Beach view is amazing. Good price for the stay and we were able to exchange towels. I would recommend staying here for your south padre experience.
