"The bathroom had mold. The ceiling tiles are broken. The room really needs a refurb. The main door is broken and sometimes doesn't open or opens very slowly. I've stayed at much better maintained premier inns in the past so this was a huge disappointment."

"Staff so friendly and helpful. Found room quite warm in the day but in evening was able to open windows fully to get some air in (stayed in April). I imagine would be very hot in summer even with fan provided in room. Walls are very thin, not a problem for me as thankfully my neighbours were quiet but I know other people were not so lucky. Was able to do me a vegan breakfast in the morning which I was happy with. I would stay again if I was in the area and needed a good value place to stay. "

"Hotel staff is always welcoming and helpful and beds are super comfy. Hotel is located in a very convenient area when visiting areas around Wirral and a nice stop when travelling further south and free parking on site. "

"Gavin and Christopher have put a lot of thought into giving you an enjoyable stay at the Manorhaus Ruthin. The rooms are decorated reflecting welsh designs. The dining room has beautiful sculptures. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious with a lot of choice. The coffee was excellent. Overall we had a great week end stay. The Manorhaus is only minutes walking into the centre where there are several excellent eateries/restaurants"

"Sadly nobody was around to check us in so we were waiting around in the lobby for a while trying to find a member of staff. When somebody finally arrived she was gruff and unwelcoming. The property and grounds are beautiful. The room was very pleasant and comfortable but unfortunately there was zero hot water so both my daughter and I had the joy of a freezing cold shower in the morning. "11pm late check in staff left a key in a safe which was great but when we got to the room the door was actually ajar which is worrying when the rooms are accessed from outside and the car park is a car charging area with random people turning up all night. On the face of it clean and modern but very quickly you ca see the neglect. Bathroom very mouldy, broken internal window pane with sharp glass uncovered. "The room was clean and very compact, it lacked appeal but had most of the amenities you would want at this price. There is no interaction with staff at all as self check in, the heating wasn’t on although the radiator in the hall was hot, one curtain hardly covered the window, my room,2, was at the front of the property so people leaving the pub were talking loudly at 11.30/12pm and then again at 1am which woke me up, the shower was good, the wash basin so tiny you couldn’t get the tiny kettle...
