"Staff was friendly and responsive at every interaction. We were notified before our arrival that renovations were ongoing but they did not interfere with any part of our stay. Breakfast every morning was good and plentiful, and there was a friendly young lady keeping the area clean and food refreshed. "The room is one of the better ones among hotels this price- good size, nice living room/kitchen, and separated bathroom/sinks. More homelike than other hotel rooms. One of the mornings, breakfast was outstanding (bacon, potatoes, egg omlets) along with waffles. Overall, everything was a moderate cut above other 3/4 star hotels. And the shuttle was very helpful. Closeness to the beach didn’t hurt either. Very satisfied. "

"The place was super clean, front desk staff extremely helpful as was the house keeping staff. The breakfast was really good and the ladies who cooked and managed the buffet kept it clean and well stocked and even opened a new bottle of plain cinnamon for my oatmeal (I don't eat cinnamon sugar.) The beds were great, the towels fluffy and the kitchen and bathroom very clean. The hotel location was perfect, right at the harbor and within waling distance of the whole town of Fernandina Beach. "

"The property was in great condition and located conveniently right across the street from the beach. But the staff were the greatest asset. In a world where hospitality sometimes seems an abandoned concept, every associate we encountered was utterly delightful, from the front desk to housekeeping to the bar and even a kitchen crew member on her way home after her shift raved about her employer, unprompted and aglow with sincerity.
