"Tha staff were very helpful and polite, the hotel is well positioned for access to A1 and local bus route to Town.
The room was perfect with plenty of room and an extra large bed.
We had dinner in the hotel there was plenty of choice and all freshly cooked, excellent."

"Staff were friendly and helpful. Lift was out of order for all of our stay which was not good as I have arthritis in both knees, left hip and right shoulder. There were a lot of stairs - this spoilt the holiday slightly for me"

"I stayed in the dog friendly room which was ok but not great. The carpets were stained and when we first walked in the room we could smell dog it wasn't a fresh smell. There was a half used toilet roll in our bathroom and no fan so it steamed up quite quickly. The room was at the bottom of the beer garden so was very noisy which wasn't that much of a problem.
We ordered food it was very fast and efficient, large portions and reasonably priced. The sun was in the beer garden all day. Staff very...

"The room I was allocated was a single bed in a what I can only describe as a converted shed at the rear of the property. Damp and very cramped .. with the toilet 2 feet from your headboard .. awful smell of sewer as well .. £90!? Not worth that at all .. will not return."

"Beautiful room with lots of lovely touches including the cookies and the cafeteria coffee. The choice of breakfast was really good and the coffee was great. The staff were attentive and very welcoming and gave us good suggestions of where to go and where was good to eat. A very special place we hope to go back soon.

"Check in was easy and efficient. The room was all that could be expected, plus a few extras. A jar of a variety shortbread biscuits was a surprise along with an extremely varied options for hot drinks, i.e. Horlicks. A bowl of fruit was also an unexpected delight.
The bathroom was well appointed, with shampoo, soap etc in pump pots.
The bed itself was supremely comfortable with more than sufficient coverings. A large fan completed the array of convenience items, really handy with recent weather...

"Fabulous 4 day stay here . Lovely location , rooms very clean and comfortable. Ate all our meals here and every one was excellent. Breakfasts were great , plenty of choice . "The city itself is a jewel. But the Swan is stuck in the past century, the furniture is old - not classy, the bathroom doesn't support hot baths or the fire alarm will go off. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The stair are beautiful, but the maze beyond it to get to the rooms are a trouble for baggage carriers."
