La Joya de Santa Cruz Rafael:
Fantastic luxury penthouse with high quality furnishings. Both the building and the flat have been completely refurbished in January 2023. It is located in the right penthouse and has a lift.We recommend this flat for those who want to spend some special days in Seville. Guests who wish to immerse themselves in time and take a tour of the Muslim, Gothic and Christian Seville...as soon as they set foot on the street of what will be their oasis during the days of their visit. This flat is also within easy reach of modern Seville and the best restaurants and secret corners to stroll around. It is located in the Old Town and its most monumental quarter 'SANTA CRUZ'. Perfect location to move on foot being in what is undoubtedly the neighbourhood that shows all the faces of the passage of time in the city. The Cathedral with the Giralda, El Alcazar, El Salvador are less than 5 minutes walking distance. The Guadalquivir river, the Arenal, Triana are less than 10 minutes walk away.

At home you will find yourself in a duplex penthouse where all the details have been taken care of to the maximum so that you can enjoy yourself peacefully. This flat is located in an emblematic building of fantastic construction. All its furniture is of high quality. It is a spacious and very bright flat. It has direct access from the flat to a private terrace and also access to a terrace of the building which is shared with 4 other flats in the building. The terrace has 4 different areas clearly divided so you will have a private area on the rooftop solarium as well as a private terrace. When you enter the flat you enter the living room with an open plan kitchen. The living room has a comfortable sofa and a smart tv. There is also a bathroom. There are stairs leading down to the bedrooms. It has 2 bedrooms so it is mainly intended for couples or families or friends. You will find a master bedroom with a queen size bed 1,50 x 2'. The second bedroom is just down the stairs and has 2 single bunk beds. It is an open plan bedroom and we would like to point this out so that our guests understand this bedroom has no door or walls to give it privacy.

Air conditioning in all rooms and high speed wifi.

The building has a roof terrace shared with 4 other flats which has been prepared with 4 very different atmospheres for the 4 flats that have access to the roof terrace so the guests of each flat have a private space. A perfect place to sunbathe, read or have a quiet drink of wine and a quiet chat with our travel companions.

Tight space, good location

Difficult communication- at important times they kept sending info in Spanish which we do not understand. No response when we asked for translations and details. Space is tight except for kitchen - Liv. Rm. corner is tiny even for two people. Seventeen steep steps down to both bedrooms. The few windows are opaque so less light - minimal sky view. Location was very good.

Clean, quiet, convenient

Clean, well appointed apartment. Short walk to the Cathedral and the Alcazar as well as all the restaurants and shopping. Once we figured out which unit was ours (Rafael is actually the name of the unit), the key code entry was super convenient.

Frustrating

Booked for two nights. No entrance details received, called upon arrival, and got a story about keypad issue and lost keys. Was directed to another location for possibly one night only. Sent repeated messages to confirm the second night, no response. Cleaner opens my door mid-afternoon. He calls his boss. I'm to go back to other apartment at 4:45. Another cleaner opens my door at 4:30. She calls the office. I speak to someone more courteous who will meet me at other apartment. It's a short walk. Took a shower this morning, didn't know until I stepped out that the water was pouring into the bathroom and beyond instead of going down the drain. I did what I could to mop it up. I would avoid this company.

Very nice stay

The apartment was very nice and fully equipped. The layout was surprising as the bedrooms and bathroom were on a lower level. The location was very near to shops bars and restaurants. The best was the rooftop terrace, great to enjoy your breakfast in the rising sun. We loved our stay and visiting Sevilla

Perfection

I was traveling solo and the space was more than enough for one person. Having direct access to the rooftop patio was so luxurious and I spent mornings and evenings sipping on coffee or wine to start and end my day. Access to the washer is immediately off the patio and it’s always such a luxury to be able to wash clothes while traveling. The bed was THE MOST COMFORTABLE BED I’ve stayed in during my many weeks of travel so far in Europe. Quiet street but close walking distance to everything. I wish I could have extended my stay here but there was already another lucky person checking in the day I was originally scheduled to check out. I would absolutely stay here again. OH! And they had soap and shampoo which I have not found to be included in any other VRBO I’ve stayed in.

A great base to explore a wonderful city

This is a modern and well-equipped apartment, very suitable for two people. It is extremely well-placed for exploration on foot of the great sights of Seville and the enjoyment of the many excellent restaurants and bars very nearby. There is a good supermarket five minutes away and a handly taxi rank for the airport, station etc. The living area is small and rather claustrophobic, though there is direct access onto the (shared) rooftop terrace, which has a good view and is usable even in midwinter on sunny days. If you are not met in person at the apartment, it may take you some time to find that the washing machine and cleaning equipment are in a cupboard on the back staircase to the apartments, not aparent if you use the lift. Overall to be greatly recommended.

Very clean and generally as described but lacking in the little details like where to hang things either street clothes nor overnight clothes. Not very suitable for two adults who do not share a bed like mother and son.

Die Wohnung war sehr zentral und auch schön. Es hatte leider keinen Tisch zum essen. Auch sonst war die Wohnung sehr klein für 4Erwachsene. Die Dachterrasse war morgens und abends ein Hit......

Great apartment and perfect location in Seville to enjoy great restaurants and explore the city. Luis was there to greet us, and gave us a map of the city and lots of suggestions for places to eat and things to do and see while we were there. We would definitely stay there again.
