  • Fantastic location with plenty of space for two families or a large group to share! If you are here sailing for charters or visiting the Island, Madeira House has plenty of space across two floors. Three double rooms, a bunk room and a further single room. This property is undergoing a steady upgrade and is priced to reflect this.
    The space
    Situated in the very centre of Seaview village, Madeira house is surrounded by so much character in this Victorian sailing village. Ideal position for families who make use of the Seaview Yacht Club which is minutes from the front door along with plenty of local pubs and cafes and of course the stunning beaches. The apartment is spacious and light and located in a highly sort after area, what it lacks in outdoor space it makes up for in the size of the rooms and shared spaces.
    The split level flat offers three bedrooms on the first floor with a family bathroom, the ground floor boasts a large open plan kitchen and living room and a further two double bedrooms, one with en suite and a shower room and loo.
    As well as the large sitting room and dining area, there is a second snug and TV area so that all generations are catered for.

Room for all the family

We had a wonderful stay that accommodated three generations perfectly. Really comfy beds and clean fresh bed linens and a welcome pack with local produce that was delicious. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

we absolutely loved it

we absolutely love that flat - thank you so much for having us to stay again and we would love to come next year. The only thing that i might comment on - which we coped with fine but it would be good to review the beds - the large room up stairs and the smaller room downstairs have very soft beds- obviously that is personal preference but they are not very supportive. everything else is utter heaven. hugest thanks again ps did you see that the radiator in the downstairs communal shower room needs a screw - top left?

It also felt comfortable and not too "done up" so we were able to relax and treat it like a home. The spiral staircase is pictured on the website, but I think the reality of it was a bit different - it was quite tricky and I don't think you could walk down it easily with a child. There are bedrooms and a loo and bathroom downstairs. That said, you can get to the upstairs via the front door. The bathroom upstairs is designed in such a way that it's a bit tricky using the loo as it's so close to the bath. It's fine for smaller people or children. We enjoyed our stay here and would come again.
