Very tropical, private and peaceful, short walk to everything happening downtown

You’ll more than enjoy your stay and be very glad you chose to stay here. Your apartment is well appointed, comfortable and extremely clean. The garden area is lush, quiet and relaxing with sunshine filtering through a canopy of 200 year old oak trees overhead. Comfortable outdoor sofa and accent chairs as well as a patio table and chairs set with a backdrop of Giant Birds of Paradise and thick bushy palms. The cafe lights walk with you from your car to apartment. A private gem walking distance to everything.

One free on-site parking space for registered guests, per apartment. If I can I'll try to provide an additional space at $25 night.
Rule 2 and 3: Never walk btwn the front of the cars and the garden. Everyone fights me on this and thinks it doesn't matter. It does. You'll be asked
to leave, no monies returned. I may sound like a lunatic but in over 1,000 reservations maybe, maybe 20 people have respected this. Okay? Come on....

Very clean and reasonable rates. Didn’t realize it was on the top floor. Kitchen was great for our needs. Loved being close to downtown restaurants. Would highly recommend.

Host was welcoming. It was unfortunate that we missed any information indicating that the apartment was up a back set of stairs. The stone walkway to the back of the building was uneven and could be dangerous. After talking to the host, we discovered that the previous guests had taken her silverware, so we only had plastic ware for the first day. There was also very little choice in cookware (because we chose to eat in, that was a bit of a challenge). The bathtub and bathroom sink were slow draining. Host had forgotten to take care of that prior to our visit.The apartment itself was cozy and had some lovely character. AC worked fine.

Christie was very attentive to our needs and responded quickly with communication. The apartment itself is located in a great part of Sarasota city- walkable to everything. The apartment had the bare minimum in the kitchen. 2 plastic spoons and a handful of plastic forks/knives. 4 coffee mugs:bowls,plates and some cooking utensils. She was sweet enough to provide us with 5 eggs and some fruit but we didn’t have cooking spray etc (we were visiting our daughter who lives in the area) so I was going to make hard boiled eggs. There were only 2 frying pans and no pots which she delivered 2 to us very quickly after texting her. When I started cooking the eggs the burner started to smoke as there was food stuck under the electrical components which I cleaned after it cooled off. There was also no dish soap which she brought up after we requested it . The bathtub does not drain well and the water pressure was only fair. The bed has a temperpedic topper which I found comfortable but my husband did not. The overall place was clean (except for the burner) and the AC worked well. Christie also put out fresh flowers and water on the night stands. She also had some green tea : monk fruit sweetener:popcorn :salt and coffee in kitchen but no coffee filters.(I grabbed some from my daughter) Christie does try to give you a comfortable stay and we would stay there again!

The suite itself was clean and in a good location, but our arrival was very confusing. We notified the host that we’d be arriving late, but when we got there, she didn’t realize we were the guests and came outside shouting profanities, which was really startling. She apologized the next morning and issued a small credit, which we appreciated.We left the space in great condition (stripped the bed and gathered towels), so we were surprised to receive a message after checkout saying the place wasn’t left well. There was no damage or mess, so we’re not sure what the concern was.Overall, the stay was fine, but the communication and check-in experience were unpredictable and made us feel a bit uncomfortable.

I drove down from GA and when I passed Gainesville FL host called on my cellphone claiming the circuit breaker had gone out and the linens had not been washed and would not be ready by 4 PM. Luckily, I got there later. There were no bowls in the kitchen. There was no can opener in the kitchen. I had to request both.The place was cute but had a musty odor. The HVAC return was covered with dirt. What looked like a kitchen drawer was a fake drawer and when I tried to open it, it fell out and hit my foot. Because of my asthma, I had asked the host not to use Glade plug-ins or scented candles and she did comply. She also claimed she washed linens in fragrance free which I did not actually request. However, the place was musty and damp so it was not OK for me and I told her I would probably have to leave the next morning. She told me she was not responsible for my sensitivities so I said OK. She went downstairs and texted me a long somewhat threatening message concluding by telling me I had better not complain. I packed up at 4 AM and waited in my vehicle until daylight to drive off and check into the Courtyard Marriott later that day.I was down there on a doctor consult. I am so glad I was honest and stayed w VRBO as they have protected me from an unscrupulous host.

Wonderful location. Peaceful upstairs location with all the amenities as promised.Outstanding central air-conditioning. Well maintained and nicely decorated.Met Christie briefly she is an outstandingHost. Due to the heatwave we were unable to take advantange of the wonderful well appointed private tropical garden area.Thanks Christie for making our stay very special. See you the next time through!

My host was exceptional! I travel frequently and have stayed in many hosted homes/apartments, but I have never had someone go above and beyond like this time! She even had extra food and snacks for me when my flight was delayed and did not arrive until after midnight. She checked on me regularly and was very patient! Apartment was extremely cute and has all the amenities you could need. 100% recommend!

We checked in on the later side and Christie was very accommodating. We loved the unit, the backyard and the location was perfect for a conference we were attending. What a great escape in the heart of downtown Sarasota with wonderful decor and exceptional host communications!

Wanted to see the sights and sounds of downtown Sarasota and this place provided the perfect location and comfortable feel. Christina was very attentive and welcoming. We were just a few blocks from downtown so it was very easy walking to restaurants and shops. Had a very nice stay and would definitely stay again!

Walkable Sarasota

Rental was not ready by 4p, had to sit outside for over half hour while being cleaned with our dog. It was clean with appropriate amenities when we were able to get in. Unit is second floor small space but well appointed/efficient. Outdoor space is lovely as described. Very walkable to great restaurants in town. Quiet, peaceful surroundings. Bed was comfortable. Great location to Sarasota and local beaches. Appreciated the beach chairs and washer/dryer. Enjoyed our time in Sarasota. Cute place to stay.

Working Weekend

Needed a place next to Downtown to go back and forth to Longboard Key. Safe and easy walking to many restaurants. Beautiful location and a great little place !

Great host and neighborhood

We booked last minute for a lacrosse tournament in the area. Christie was very responsive and accommodating throughout our stay. We arrived very late at night and she was kind enough to have some snacks for my daughter upon arrival. The neighborhood was very cool and many places to eat within a short distance. Good experience all around.

Just book this one! You've found best place!

What an awesome, cute, wonderful place! It's on the second floor with windows all around, so it's like being in one of those ranger stations! The property (as well as the ones surrounding) is beautiful, and relaxing. It's within walking distance to so many great restaurants, galleries, etc. We loved it and would recommend it to anyone who wants a great place to stay while in Sarasota!

Short but sweet stat

My stay was cut short by concerns about the weather, but my brief visit was lovely and restful. Christie was an excellent host who communicated well both before and during my stay. Directions were clear, and the property is clean and in a very nice neighborhood. I went for a walk in the morning and really liked the shaded sidewalks (especially in the August heat and humidity), and the other people I met up with were friendly. I would definitely stay here on future visits to Sarasota.
