Private entrance to Guest Suite with full bathroom, kitchenette, sink and countertop, fridge and freezer, microwave, and coffee maker. This provides ample utility to prepare simple meals, but it is not suited for cooking.

Located in a popular neighborhood just off Siesta Key called Gulf Gate with over 100 shops including bakeries, coffee shops, restaurants and much more

The Neighborhood
Gulf Gate is a very popular residential neighborhood because of its closeness to everything – golf, shopping, restaurants and Siesta Key Beach. You can walk or bike on the streets. The area has retirees, young professionals, and growing families. It is located about 5 minutes from Siesta Key, 15 minutes from downtown Sarasota, and 20 minutes to the Sarasota International Airport (SRQ)

Gulf Gate Village is closeby with over 150 shops, bakeries and cafes, coffee shops, bars and restaurants, grocery stores and retail shopping and much more..

Lovely clean room in a great location near Siesta Beach. Owner/host was very nice and he is located on premises. Good WiFi, nicely appointed small room with thoughtful amenities. We very much enjoyed our stay and will stay there again when we are looking for a beach or golf getaway.

Terry is awesome! His place is immaculate. Just 3 minutes from the local Gulf estates downtown area, and just 10 minutes from downtown Sarasota. Great area! Highly recommended!

Cozy & Comfortable

The place is perfect for 2 people. Terry is a very responsive, accommodating, and helpful host. He give us helpful tips and suggestions as to the various sights around Sarasota, and responded quickly to our questions. While the weather was warm outside, the room was always cool and comfortable. The property is located in a quiet neighborhood. Thanks Terry for the breakfast gift card!

Home away from home

We had a wonderful time there. Everything was exaxtly as advertised in the booking platform. Terry is the best host, we've ever had. He is a wonderful, helpful and kind person, who did everything to make our stay a very pleasant one. He gave us a lot of tips on where to go and what to do. He put fresh flowers in the room - very nice touch - and also had bicycles and beach equipment (chairs, umbrella etc.) for us to use. The little appartment we stayed in was cozy and clean. Down the road from Paradise

Terry goes above and beyond to ensure you're getting the most out of your stay! We appreciated every effort he puts into making sure his guests thoroughly enjoying their visit. He is very responsive, respectful, and welcoming! The space and amenities were perfect for our little weekend getaway. Location is great for exploring the local scene and experiencing the Gulf Gate community. We can't wait to come back!

Amazing

This place was absolutely perfect for us. It could not have been any better. Terry is probably the best host we have ever had! He is so kind, accommodating and considerate. Whatever we needed he had! The location is fantastic and close to the beach. We walked to some restaurants nearby although Terry has bikes. We used the beach chairs, and towels. He also has suggestions available on things to do. He thinks of everything you would need to make your visit enjoyable. The room was always cool for the hot FL days. The bed is wonderful too! I cannot rave on this property enough. Fantastic for the price too! Just book it!

Close to Siesta without paying Siesta prices

My friend & I like to come to the Sarasota/Siesta Key area 2-3 times a year, so doing so on a budget is important. I’ve stayed on and off the Key, at many different places, and Terry’s place is perfect for 1-2 people wanting to stay off the Key. One of my favorites. Less than 2 miles to the beach. Probably walkable if you’re ambitious. Definitely bikeable. If you have a car there’s space for that too. I liked that it’s separate from the house.. has its private entrance and no shared walls. I believe the garage separates this unit and the house. The bed was comfortable (that’s important!), the bathroom has a hair dryer, and a few essentials you may forget. The kitchenette is nice for simple food prep.. do not plan to cook unless it’s microwaveable. I greatly appreciated the fridge of water when we arrived & snacks! Such a nice touch! We loved that there are beach chairs, beach bag, coolers, & umbrellas. Super nice to have when you’re flying in and can’t bring those things. The gift card to the Clever Cup and fresh flowers were a bonus!! I will most definitely see if Terry’s place is available next time I come to Siesta. Nice neighborhood, cozy unit, friendly & quick to respond host, budget-friendly. Don’t hesitate to book!!

Beach get away

Terry was wonderful! Easy to get hold of. Great rental, with extras! Nice beach chairs, umbrella, towels, beach bag, coolers… Quick drive to Siesta Key beach. Everything you need for a beach get away. Great place to stay! Nice and clean, great neighborhood, close to stores and restaurants. Look forward to staying at Terry’s again.

Quiet and cool

No wonder Terry gets five stars almost every time a review is made. The room was clean, cozy and cool. The air conditioner kept it cool and comfortable and a vase of orange lilies that opened up during our stay, brought beauty to the room. It truly felt like a home away from home. I want to stress how quiet the neighborhood was! No loud parties or emergency vehicles going in and out. Very quiet, which was important to us! But not far from the restaurants and beaches. Perfect location. Everything we needed for our stay. Beach chairs, umbrella, huge beach bag, beach towels, sun screen, and even two soft coolers for our beach days at Siesta Key!! Also two breakfast gift cards for local restaurants. So nice! Terry was very helpful and went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Couldn't ask for a better host! He also let us know the happenings around the area. Don't pass up going to Detwiler's Farm Market for a huge sub sandwich to eat at the beach! We will definitely be staying here again when we return!

Spring get away

We rented this property as we were spending a few days to see some spring training baseball. Quiet neighborhood and the host was accommodating and provided us with great tips for things to do! He gave us lots of suggestions of places to eat. Very helpful. The place was clean, quiet, and private!

Everything We Needed

Terry was thoughtful and responsive from the moment we booked. I was a little concerned about privacy with staying in a room in a house. I'm happy to say it was not a problem at all. This kitchenette, bedroom, bathroom and entryway are completely private. It's like staying in your own hotel room except better because he provides coolers, beach towels, great beach chairs and literally everything you need for a fun, beach vacation. The room was SPOTLESS. And I'll also add that the kitchen area was well stocked with everything you might need. He also gave us excellent recommendations of things to do which was fun. He was respectful of our privacy and generous with everything he offered us. And the bed, sheets and pillows were so comfortable. This space is also quiet and peaceful in a lovely neighborhood with great places to walk. You are also minutes away from so many good restaurants. Thank you Terry for an excellent stay!!

A Great Find

We enjoyed our stay in Terry 's apartment. The unit is conveniently located in a lovely residential area and very close to restaurants, groceries and beaches. Terry is a kind and thoughtful host. He provided bottled water, snacks, sunscreen, beach chairs, beach towels and even a gift certificate to a local coffee shop. He gave us suggestions for places to visit that we probably won't find on our own. When he learned that our car had broken down, he came immediately to offer his help. We will definitely stay with him again the next time we are in the Sarasota. His rate is very reasonable for the area.

Tour Guide Extraordinaire!

Property was suited for our needs, clean, excellent location, use of bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas a bonus. Communication with Terry is excellent! He was kind to take the time to list and suggest different things to do and places to eat in the Sarasota area. As nearly a lifetime resident, Terry has insider information as to what to do and where to go while your there. Time saving and convenient for us. Enjoy your time in a quite, private getaway

There is nothing you will need that is not provided. Not fancy but very comfortable. Everything from bikes to ride to beach towels, chairs, refrigerator had water, soda, snacks and much more. I would definitely recommend this place to stay for a couple. The gift cards are an extra.
