It's hard to leave a fair review as we had unseasonably cold weather. That said, it seems the furnace couldn't handle the lower temps. The house struggled to stay above 64 degrees overnight and the bathrooms were freezing by morning. We got notifications on the thermostat that there may be an issue with the furnace. I contacted Jack about this and he said that it was due to the weather and his thermostat gave the same message. However, our family that live in the area had no issues with the heat in their homes. We chose this vrbo because of the heated pool, which the listing states is heated year round to 85-90 degrees. This is something I understand is a result of the colder weather, but given the listing description, we were not expecting it to be mostly unusable during our stay. One evening it was warm so we were able to swim for a couple of hours. Other than that, we got 5 minutes before the kids wanted out and another time maybe 30 minutes before lips were purple and we were shivering. I'm glad we were able to get one good swim in as the pool was wonderful.Jack's house has a good, kid friendly layout and fit our family's needs. The beach gear, pack n play and high chair were all appreciated. The location was central to our activities, on a quiet street and there was plenty of parking space. Jack answered my messages in a timely matter. He offered us a free day, but we were unable to extend our trip. I would like to give Jack's house another try in warmer weather.

Very nice place - would definitely stay again

The place is gorgeous. Has everything you need. The tub in the second bath does not drain well and the faucet does not work to enable you to use the tub. Aside from that, the place is worth the value so long as there are no issues that require communication!

Spacious and Clean- great for Families

The home itself was clean and decently stocked. We loved the spacious outdoor seating area by the pool that is shaded. We utilized that area the most. The beach equipment was perfect for us for hauling all of our beach gear in the beach wagon. The beds are all FIRM. What we didn't like was the amount of cameras posted on the front and the back of the home (We counted 8 in total). It made us feel a bit uneasy and wondered if there were cameras inside as well. There was no mention of cameras on the listing whatsoever. Overall we had a great experience and very much enjoyed our stay.

Loved our stay

We absolutely loved staying here! The house was clean, pool was great, and Jack was easy to communicate with. It was about a 20 minute drive to the beach and village, so we didn’t mind going back and forth a couple times a day. There are also plenty of stores, restaurants, and fast food within a 5 minute drive from the house. The only very slight drawback was the beds were very firm. We prefer softer beds, but if you like your bed firm, you will be very comfortable. Overall we had an amazing week and hope to stay there again next year.

Summer Vacay

We had an amazing time visiting the Sarasota area, and this VRBO property was the perfect place for our family to stay. More than enough room for 2 kids and 2 adults, the kitchen was clean and well equipped, and we were very thankful for the beach chairs/umbrella/wagon to use at the beach. The enclosed outside area and pool was fantastic, allowing us to enjoy time at the house when we weren’t at the beach. The owner was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend and would stay again when we visit the Sarasota area.

Great house, great location, great experience

House was great and provided all the necessities we needed. Kids spent most of their vacaction in the pool and it was nice having an outdoor shaded sitting area with tv.

Great family fun

All four adults in our party enjoyed our stay. The place is exactly as described, super clean, and the outdoor space is very relaxing. We were in the pool almost everyday of our stay. We took advantage of the beach chairs when we went to Siesta Key beach, which is only about a 15 to 20 minute drive. There were plenty of food choices a short drive from the house. The host is great and goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Will stay here again

Beautiful outdoor space!

We loved the houses outdoor space. The pool was clean and perfect for our young children. We enjoyed spending the full day outside with plenty of seating and toys for the kids. There were a few things we had issues with inside the house. The linens were limited (6 bath towels for 6 people) and there were no bathmats for the bathrooms. There were nice fans in each room, but the remotes didn't work consistently and we had multiple issues with getting the lights to work. Lastly, the kitchen amenities were on the lighter side, which meant we had to get a few additional basic things for the stay (salt, olive oil, garlic powder, Saran Wrap, etc.). The location was a bit far for the beaches, but it was conveniently near the highway and lots of grocery and restaurant options. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Jack was quick to respond to questions, and tried to find solutions for anything that came up during our stay.

The BEST Experience!

My husband and I stayed with our two children (6 and 8), and my inlaws. The house was perfect! Clean, comfortable, and my kids spent hours playing in the pool (they chose to spend our entire last day in it)! The neighborhood was nice and convenient to grocery/drug stores. It was very close geographically to beaches and attractions, but we went on school Spring Break so traffic made every commute much longer than I think it would be any other time of year! We had to reach the owner at one point and he was responsive and timely. We’ll hopefully be back next year!

Obsessed!

This is our second year here and oh the memories we have made at this magical house! The house has all you need, the real amazing part to me is the backyard area/pool! Please book this place, but leave some space for us to come again next year!

Wonderful Stay

Me and my family stayed here for a week and it was a very beautiful and comfortable home. Everything was just like the photos and the pool was a HUGE hit for our family. We really enjoyed stocked kitchen as we are a large family, so cooking was a big deal for me. Also, the response time with the property manager was quick as well. We cannot wait to come back and stay here.

Perfect Vacation!

Wow, our stay at this Florida house was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the serene atmosphere and total relaxation it offered. The pool and the surrounding area were incredible – we spent our days just lounging, soaking up the sun, and having the time of our lives. Inside the house, everything was perfect. The decor was so stylish yet cozy, making us feel right at home. Every room had this warm and inviting vibe that just made us want to kick back and take it easy. And let me tell you, the attention to detail was on point – they really nailed it! But you know what made our stay even better? The owner. They were super friendly and helpful, always making sure we had everything we needed. They provided multiple extras that we didn't expect(beach cart, umbrella, and lounge chairs and other things) and it felt like we were staying at a friend's place rather than a rental. All in all, this Florida retreat was exactly what we needed. If you're looking for a relaxing and blissful getaway, this place is a total winner. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. It gets a solid five stars from us!
