This property was listed as a “new build” and it was anything but a new build. We spent the week picking out splinters from the children’s feet from the outdoor decking. The outdoor rugs were in shreds and all furniture cushions were stained/dirty. The indoor area was well decorated and the second and third floors were very nice. The first floor beds (2 kings ) were terrible and need to be replaced immediately. The mattresses were terrible and the bed frames need to be repaired or replaced. The guest cottage bed was great but the cottage smelled like cigarette smoke-clearly the previous renters had smoked. The kitchen area was well stocked and we were able to find everything we needed. The management team did a great job helping us with a towel issue as well as an issue with the a/c. They we kind and very professional. Probably our biggest complaint is that you advertised this rental as a new build and honestly if we knew it was as old as it is-I’m not sure we would have rented it. False advertisement.

Beautiful home Multiple issues

This was a very challenging week. Upon check in there was trash, empty bottles, and cans in multiple outdoor areas. Three of the 4 lounge chairs by the pool were unusable. The entire seat fabric had pulled away the frame leaving no where to recline and a real eyesore to look at. The most difficult part of this rental was the multiple splinters from the pool deck. There were 9 people affected on 12 different occasions from splinters, mostly in feet but also hands. One child had to get the three splinters in her foot surgically removed on Easter Sunday. She is only 7 and was traumatized. The pool deck is not safe. It needs attention immediately. Upon arrival, the inside was poorly cleaned. Some rugs were not vacuumed, the coffee maker had old water and grounds in it. One room had a fake fingernail on the floor. One room had a false eyelash behind the door. The bunk room sheets had hair and make up on them and filth and stains all around the mattress. There were stray hairs and bodily fluids on at least 2 of the beds downstairs. The dishwasher was broken, the elevator didn’t work nor did the outside fireplace. I rented through Live The Gulf Coast realty Company so I’m not sure why VRBO is asking for a review. I would not rent from this realty company again nor rent a home managed by their property managers. There are multiple pictures and recorded phone calls made to LTGC Realty Co. should you have further questions or concerns. The home was beautiful but the issues many.

Perfect week away

This property was ideal for our large family of 15. The double dishwasher and washer and dryer were so convenient for our family size. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking at home. The abundance of beach chairs and umbrellas were convenient. The beach access was very close to the home. We loved the layout of the home as it provided enough space for everyone.

Absolutely fabulous. People managing this property were absolutley awesome. Everything worked. My 86 year old mom was able to go up and down because the elevator worked. (Last house we had elevator did not work). We had a great time. Thank you.

Perfect property in Santa Rosa Beach

This was our second time staying here. Ron as usual was extremely helpful. He organized a chef for us called Swiftly Catered (who we’re phenomenal, I would highly recommend) We had 14 people staying 6yrs old to 85 years old. This house has the perfect layout, lots of privacy for multiple family members. The views of the lake in the morning are spectacular and being so close to the beach is amazing ! The houses kitchen is so well stocked, the garage is also stocked with beach equipment and toys. I would highly recommend this house, we hope to come back again soon.

Wonderful place to stay

We LOVED this property, from the layout of the house to the location! Everything was amazing! We had breathtaking views from every balcony! We LOVED the pool and hot tub, the kids swam from sun up to well past sundown and having the golf cart and bikes to get around was fantastic! Easy access to the beach was great and having a great restaurant next door was convenient. It’s a quieter neighborhood with so much to do all around you!! Honestly, the house has so many great amenities, it was hard to leave it to explore some days! The house is so spacious, we had 19 people and we all had plenty of room! We can’t wait to go back again! You won’t be disappointed with this property!!

Luxe with hiccups

This is a very nice property with great amenities, but needs a new approach to cleaning and maintenance. Property manager was very nice and accommodating, but we went 8-9 hours with a pretty serious issue with no response from anyone after calling and texting and leaving a message. I will say that the issue was eventually resolved, but not without disrupting our vacation. Again, cleaning and maintenance are not up to par. Some of the Furniture is visibly stained. Layout of the house is great for multiple families. Surroundings are breathtaking. Lots of potential to be a 5 star property.

Good Friends and Good Times

This is a great property for multiple couples and families. The 6+ bedrooms with king beds and adjoining bunk rooms are perfect. This house has “highend” appliances and plenty of them. The pool/spa with outdoor fireplace is where much time was spent. The Property Management company was very responsive to our questions and requests. We would all recommend this home to others.

Fabulous Rental Experience

This home was very clean and freshly appointed. Two dishwashers a big plus. Plenty of room for 16 adults celebrating a new bride and groom. Pool and outside area great! Kitchen/dining area awesome. Great location to beach (5 min tops).

Spectacular Views of the lake & sunsets from balcony

This is a stunning property. The layout of the house is amazing, there is so much space. You can easily easily accommodate two families with lots of privacy. The balcony off the main second floor is blissful in the mornings with beautiful views of the lake. This is one of the nicest properties I’ve stayed at and we’ve been all over the world. The location is perfect, the beach is a one minute walk, the house has chairs, toys, carts etc They provide a golf cart but the beach is so close we didn’t need it ! We used it to drive to Seaside for ice cream ! Ron the manager is amazing, he’s very responsive and so nice. He couldn’t do enough for us on our trip. I would highly recommend this house.

Chad's home grown crew!

Beautiful property w/ plenty of room for 20! Teens / young adults had the 3rd floor to themselves. Four adult couples had own master suite and the pool house bungalow might be the best set up for accommodations!! Kitchen is perfect for cooking as a large group gathering and the Dinning setup allowed everyone to sit down together for meals! Close adjacency to beach is perfect for short lawn chair hauls and having the golf cart included in cabin rental is way more than a added value it makes this five STAR PLUS 30-A accommodations worth the spend!! We will be back for sure!

Excellent property! New 4/19. We had 19, all had a bed, and a seat for dinner. Kitchen is large, and "fully" equipped, pool and hot tub are perfect size for the property. Beach, 100 yds across 30A, not a problem. Pool table 1/2 size, parked 6 cars. Highly recommended! -------------

Fantastic

This was our second time at Sand Castle by the Sea. The house is fantastic with the views of the water lake and gulf on both sides. Fantastic outdoor space. We enjoy the pool, hot tub , fireplace , grill and television. Stinky's is also nice. Just a short walk away and the newly opened beach access is very easy to access.

Wonderful for family vacation!

This house was beautiful and perfect for our family vacation! We were 5 families with 10 adults and 7 children. There was more than enough room for everyone in the house to play together as well as have privacy when needed. The kitchen is magnificent with plenty of room for more than one cook. Everyone loved the pool, and the beach is steps away. All In all, we loved everything about it!

Great place for multiple families

We had a great time and enjoyed spending the week at this beautiful home. We always have multiple families going on our annual beach trip and this house was perfect for the wide range of ages we have going every year. We would definitely love to rent this house again! The location is also perfect!
