"I wanted to get as close as I could to Bowman’s Beach and Blind Pass to go shell collecting. For the price this was a gem. I was able to do my daily walks at 5am collecting shells and be back for breakfast/brunch with my husband. Couldn’t walk on the beach to Blind Pass, have to walk on bike trail. So if you’re interested in shell collecting this spot was very good. You get a beach pass to park at the Trade Winds parking lot which was empty most of the time. "Everything was great! Except for the no-see-ems that came out in the evenings. Those bitting little bugs are awful! Bring bug spray or buy some at one of the local shops. The people were friendly. The neighborhood was safe. The food was amazing. Our fav for breakfast was Lighthouse Cafe (especially the mimosas and eggs Benedict). For supper we loved Wickies, Tutti Pazzi and Doc Fords. "It was typical Florida HOT! Location and Cottage was GREAT. I do have one suggestion for you. I am 6'2" 280 and the shower in #2 Sandpiper was small. If you expand the shower to fit the walk-in area it would work out a lot better. I enjoyed the cottage and area a lot. "The property is well maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking even a blender. The traffic starts early so a bit noisy since our bedroom windows were near the street. The pool is a very nice size. An easy bike ride to the beach at the end of Donax."
