"The room was spotless and so well appointed!!! Hooks on the screened porch for towels and wet swimsuits, is a great example. The kitchen had everything I needed for simple meal prep. and I appreciated the keurig. The staff was friendly & helpful. The grounds felt safe for a solo traveler. The boardwalk and outdoor chairs made the gulf easily accessible! The individualized parking was so convenient & appreciated!! I absolutely recommend The Shalimar⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"What fun it's been to visit here, and what wonderful accommodations! So peaceful and quiet, and an easy drive to anywhere on the island. Had a great time hiking, kayaking, and visiting art galleries. A friend told me to visit the Sanibel Library, and I'm glad I did. Lots of interesting art on the walls, plus plenty of seashell collections. It is the coolest library I've ever seen! I enjoyed many restaurants here, and these were my favorites: Over Easy Cafe, Mudbugs, Gramma Dots and Blue...

"Enjoyed our stay. Perfect sized cottage for the two of us. Wish the bathroom had a shelf for cosmetic bags and dop kits, but we managed. Liked the beach access and parking pass even though it was a long walk from the parking lot to the beach. Communication with the owners was very was good. No dishwasher, no laundry facilities, no hair dryer but towels and beach chairs (too low for us old folks) were provided. Umbrella would have been nice. Lots of the island things to do were within...

"We enjoyed a superb week! Staff was extremely helpful, our room was clean and quiet. The inn provided beach chairs, towels, and carts for the 10 minute walk to the beach, even a shell cleaning station. Plenty of bikes for guests to use. Excellent dining and ice cream shop available across the street. We can't wait to go again next year!!"

"Absolutely loved our stay! We were a family of 5 that stayed in a 2 bedroom condo with ocean view. The staff was courteous and extremely accommodating, free bike rental, the restaurant by the pool was awesome and the space was incredibly clean. 10 out of 10 for sure! Worth the price! Don’t waste space packing beach towels or sand toys- there are pool noodles, buckets and shovels for the kiddos and pool/beach towels are provided. "

"We absolutely loved staying at the Driftwood Inn. We loved the cottage and the amenities. Everything is brand new and immaculate. The beds are very comfortable, and the pull out bed is even comfortable. That never happens! The beach is a short walk and so many restaurants near by. We will definitely be staying again. My only suggestion is for people that are not familiar with No-serums, they can be bad. Possibly provide a small bug spray for them in the nice goody bag you left for us. if they...

"Third time staying in Sanibel. This hotel (or Inn) is amazing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room is amazing. Huge space, nice kitchen and supplies, balcony with a lot of chairs and table to sit and relax. King size bed was great and bathroom has 2 sinks - identical as photos. They offer 1 covered parking spot (in the summer or raining season, this make a difference). The Inn is right at the beach, in a private and nice place at Sanibel - away from the public beach area. My wife loved shelling in peace and found several shells to her collection. They offer chairs/umbrella at no cost. And bikes for rentals. Cleaning staff was great and service everyday."
