"Our recent stay had a bit of a hic-up at no fault of the host. When we arrived the refrigerator was not working. We contacted the host and he quickly got service technicians onsite. We ended up not having a functioning fridge for two of our three days. Host was nice enough to credit us one night of our stay. Home is clean but bathrooms are a bit dated. Kitchen and downstairs living space are very nice. Neighborhood is a bit on the lower scale, but downtown Vista is amazing. "

"We had a lovely and relaxing weekend and wish we had a three night stay or more than two nights but lucky we found Happy Hills Farm. The amenities were outstanding, generous and thoughtfully. The owner was very accommodating showing us how to work the tv and was available if we had questions. The view from the barn was quite nice. We appreciated the eggs, fruit and toiletries. "This was a great house for our family of six. Lots of room to spread out and various places to gather. The boys loved the game room and the outdoors. It was about a half hour to Legoland and the zoo safari and the beach, all the things we wanted to do. There was one little glitch that Cory took care of immediately. I would definitely recommend this place for a family visit!"

"Fantastic property with all sorts of extra amenities, from the chocolate chip banana bread to the excellent coffee and every utensil you could think of! Beach, chairs, umbrella, towels, books, movies, games, best place I have ever rented! Hummingbirds every morning to greet you and a beautiful patio to sit down on."

"The house itself was clean, which we appreciated. However, it was not ready at check in, as the cleaners were still there and didn’t leave until 3:40 pm.Upon arrival, there were no towels in the bathrooms. They were left in the hallway and definitely need to be replaced. The kitchen could use some upgrades. The cookware and supplies were very low quality, and the pans gave off a chemical smell when heated. There wasn’t a salad bowl. You don’t need a lot, just the essentials, but those basics...

"The property didn’t seem very secure. The windows had blinds that didn’t cover completely. Inside doors didn’t lock. Camper in the driveway had a direct view into master bedroom, which had gaps in the blinds. Back yard could also use some upkeeping. We did not stay at this property as originally planned. "
