"This is a gem of a bed and breakfast. Very clean and inviting. The owners are friendly, responsive, and accommodating. The made-to-order breakfast is delicious. 10 out of 10. The only disappointment was that the apple pies were all sold out!"

"I was adventuring solo for a few days and stayed in the 3-bed hostel room at the Avon. The room was small but the bed was comfy, the amenities were nice (i.e. towels and toiletries in the bathroom), and the staff was welcoming and helpful. It is a funky, cozy, old-timey spot in the mountains, with a covered porch with rocking chairs so you can sit outside and look at the mountains winding down after a day of hiking or having your morning coffee. "Room were a great size. and ours was an ADA room. Only things that would have made it better would have been a walk in shower. But with plenty of hand holds and a fairly low tub height we made it work for my wife.

"My family and I spent one night at this hotel recently while on a road trip through Colorado. We stopped in Cortez because of its proximity to Mesa Verde National Park. I have to say, for this large a hotel with so many families, it was actually pretty quiet. There is one elevator, and it's centrally located. The room was nice and clean, and the breakfast was decent. I recommend this hotel."
