The ocean is directly across the street from this apartment with a private entry. Your dream vacation!

Janet & Scott are your hosts. We are a husband and wife team and we live nearby. We own and operate Mission Beach Villas, a highly rated vacation rental management business in San Diego.

We are available 7 am to 10 pm to answer questions during your stay.

Our storefront rental office, Mission Beach Villas, is a few blocks away as well, so if you need anything feel free to stop by! If you have an early flight, you may stow your luggage at our office so you can go to lunch or hang out on the beach until check-in time. And if you have an afternoon flight on checkout day you may also stow luggage. Just coordinate these details with us and we are happy to accommodate. Please note, we charge a small nominal fee for luggage storage.

Before your stay, we are happy to suggest our favorite restaurants, and tourist attractions and will help you get acquainted with the area.

This property is located right across the street from the ocean. There is a pedestrian crosswalk to get across the blvd. You can also walk to Mission Bay only a few houses away. The neighborhood is very friendly, just say hello and your neighbors will be willing to pass any info on what to do or where to go.

The best thing about the neighborhood is that there is so much within walking distance that you will not need a car. You could just take a taxi or Uber/Lyft from the airport (7 miles away), get dropped off here and you're at the beach! We have local restaurants, trendy beach bars, excellent coffee spots, and breakfasts cafes all within a few short blocks. Sea World is just 3 miles away.

The location is the best spot of all of Mission Beach. It is on the south side of Santa Clara Place (the only traffic light in North Mission Beach), which means a non commercial area. It is far enough (1 mile) north of the roller coaster area so it's fairly removed from the crowd noise.

We offer digital keypad entry for easy self check-in. There are no keys to lose, just a simple 4 digit passcode to remember.

This property is ideal for guests arriving via Uber or taxi. A dedicated parking space is not offered for this listing but there is free public parking on the street . Also there is a large free parking lot on Santa Clara Point nearby with a 5 minute walk. Keep in mind that parking can be challenging during the summer months and on weekends due to the proximity to the beach.

It is positioned in the ♡ of Mission Beach, a gorgeous beach community on a super narrow strip of land between the Pacific Ocean and Mission Bay. Walk in either direction (West or East) and you'll encounter pristine white beaches. Both sides have wide boardwalks for bicycle riding or walking. On the bay-side you'll enjoy a relaxing sail bay with a calm atmosphere, while on the ocean-side you'll enjoy ocean waves for surfing and a lively beach scene. Either way, you'll call it paradise. We simply call it home!

The vacation rental features a studio bedroom, one bathroom, and a fully supplied kitchen. It's approximately 250 sq feet.

The kitchen includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and a Keurig coffee maker. We supply you with all the cooking pans, dishes, and utensils you might need. There are the usual kitchen gadgets such as bottle openers and cork screws.

The TV is equipped with Internet TV with Roku, which includes live local TV and Netflix. Amazon Prime Video, Hulu and many other channels are available with your own login credentials. What's more, there is free WIFI and plenty of outlets to keep you plugged in.

The vacation rental comes supplied with all the basics you'd expect at any hotel like a hair dryer and iron. Plus you have a kitchen and living room to enjoy. We think of everything you might need and even stock you with beach towels so you don't need to pack those in your suitcase. Why stay at a hotel when you can stay in the comfort of your own home in a friendly neighborhood? Vacation like a local.

** Beach Equipment All-Access Pass!
For an additional fee of just $50 per week for your group (you and your registered guests) will enjoy UNLIMITED access to all the beach equipment named above, including bikes for cruising down the boardwalk. YES, you read that right! Normally you would pay that to rent a couple of bikes for an hour or two. This will give you unlimited access during your stay. You will pick up the equipment in person at one of 3 local beach shops. The closest is a couple of blocks away, just a few minutes walk from your unit. We have a special arrangement with this shop and you will be able to check out unlimited equipment each day with our special certificate we will offer you. (Each adult will be required to sign liability waivers and present ID /credit card for security hold at the time of receiving the equipment.)

If you choose not to bring a car you will be totally fine here! Many guests come without a car and all have gotten around quite easily! The beach is a 2-minute walk away with restaurants, shops, and convenience stores all within walking distance.

It is about a 10-15 minute walk to Belmont Park where there is a giant roller coaster, rides, games, restaurants, bars, and shops.

Uber/Lyft options are readily available for local transport at an affordable rate. If you've never used this service before download the phone app and you may find a discount code for first-time riders online.

There is also a bus stop a few yards away that travels down Mission Blvd and will take you to Old Town in minutes. At Old Town there is a major transportation hub where you can transfer to any other bus line or transfer to the Trolley (San Diego's metro line) which will take you downtown.

Due to insurance reasons, the person booking must be at least 25 years old to book and must upload a photo of government ID to the host within 24 hours of booking.

This property does NOT include a dedicated parking space and therefore this unit is mainly recommended for people traveling without a car and arriving via taxi or Uber/Lyft. Due to its location across from the beach, street parking can be very challenging, especially during the summer months, late at night, or sunny weekends the rest of the year. Once you get here there is no need for a car. The beach is just across the street and there are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance.

We supply a portable AC unit during the peak summer months (July - Sept). Like a hot car, the apartment might be hot when you first arrive. due to the windows being shut. To rapidly cool down the apartment, simply open the windows and open the screened front door while running the ceiling fan and the place should cool down in minutes with the cool ocean breeze. Once the hot air is pushed out then run the AC.

This studio apartment is approx 350 square feet. There is a Queen sofa bed that converts to a couch by day and a bed by night. It's at the back of a 6 unit apartment building and is located right on the main boulevard that runs through Mission Beach.
