"The property was over priced for what it is , I had called the hotel to ask about adjusting dates due to a family emergency and the front desk person stated she would contact the manager and get back to me but I never heard anything and no mention at check in either ……. The hotel is okay but I would expect better at the rate they charge , they did however give a water bottle at check in but I’d preferred they keep the gift and charge appropriately………"

"This hotel advertises a continental breakfast, which could not be further from the truth. A continental breakfast is not yogurt cups, coffee, and dried cereal. This is absolutely false advertising. The hallways stunk so badly of smoke, all night all we could hear was stomping around above us. The air conditioner was barely working. In the morning when I went to blow dry my hair, we lost all power in the suite. Found out that you cannot have the air conditioner on and use the blowdryer at the...

"The room was Reno’s recently and so beautiful! Nice touches like heated mirrors in the bathroom, tons of hygiene products, soft close cabinets, great design, and ocean view! The staff were so friendly and helpful. I texted everyone I know that stays on the island to tell them about it. Would definitely stay again!"

"What an amazing stay! From the moment you arrive in cowichan bay to when you open your curtains to see the beautiful bay, your stay at cowichan bay suites will feel like you've teleported to a small fishing town filled with wild life and friendly people. The hotel is beautiful, cozy rooms with full kitchens. The hot tub and pool are a nice feature for after a day on the beach just steps from your patio doors. I will be making this a yearly get away!"

"Very accommodating to early check in request. A very cosy little cottage just a tiny bit on the small side. Two suitcases - not a lot of space to have them both open. Very clean, great area - peaceful and beautiful grounds - views were lovely. Would def stay there again if in Victoria. Was not able to take advantage of the breakfast unfortunately, but the menu looked delicious!"

"It was a faded beauty. Seen better days and in a sketchy area. The manager / person who checked me in was really great and he tried hard, but if you have any phobias about sticky floors and handles… I would look elsewhere. Huge plus was that the shower had great pressure and didn’t seem to fluctuate in temperature much."
