Oceanfront home on Hatteras Island with private pool & stunning views

Moondog Beach is a spectacular oceanfront Hatteras Island vacation home! This spacious and well-appointed home offers unbelievable ocean views from all three levels! Well-thought-out furnishings and thoughtful details throughout the home make your stay a comfortable one.

Lounge poolside to catch some rays, take a dip in the pool to cool off, or relax your sore muscles in the hot tub after a hard day of vacation play. Continue the fun inside in the lower level recreation room with a pool table, Foosball, and a full wet bar.

The exterior has a sandy landscape and a private pool, hot tub, and fenced-in pet area. High-speed internet access from 4 wired network connections and a WiFi network for wireless computer devices! Hair dryers are conveniently provided in all bathrooms, and bed linens and towels are provided for all full-week rentals. New for 2025, bedmaking is also provided!

Private pool available 1st week of April - last week of October.

For your comfort and convenience, bed and bath linens are provided. Bedmaking will be included in 2026.

For 2026, Moondog Beach will include credit for $315 in beach gear rentals from our partners at VayK Life. Stay between April 3rd and October 18th, 2026 (tentative dates, 7-night minimum), and use your beach gear credit for items such as bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, paddleboards, and more!

Moondog Beach is pet-friendly. There is an additional charge for guests bringing pets, which will be added and collected after booking. Pet fees range from $161-231 depending on the property, and will be assessed state and local taxes. The owners are willing to accommodate up to 3 dogs. Please call the Salvo office at (252) 987-2766 for approval and to have the additional pet fee applied.

Lower Level: Recreation room with a pool table, Foosball table, queen sleeper sofa, and a kitchenette, half bath, king en suite with private bath, front deck, back deck with gate to stairs to pool entrance.

Mid Level: Two king en suites with private baths, bedroom with 2 twins, Jack and Jill bath, pyramid bunk bedroom, back deck with ocean views, front deck with sound views.

Top Level: Living area, dining area, kitchen, sitting area with wet bar, half bath, king en suite with private bath, back deck with ocean views, front deck with sound views.
