Sigiriya is a beautiful little town and Lion Rock is a must do. Get up early to beat the crowds and heat. It opens at 7am. We hired a scooter but Charu the father will drive you if needed. The family are absolutely loving,kind and generous. Make sure you have dinner with them. One of the best meals I've had in Sri Lanka. Now for the suprise...

"We had a very enjoyable and memorable stay at Eighth Wonder Resort. The tree house was spacious and clean with lovely views of the surrounding forest. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.
