Immerse yourself in the Sussex countryside from this adorable barn conversion, nestled in a spacious garden with a stream.. All on the Ground Floor:

Living/dining room: Freeview TV, DVD Player, CD Player, DVDs

Kitchen: Breakfast Area, Electric Cooker, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine

Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed

Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Attachment, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair. Spacious lawned garden with BBQ and garden furniture. Private parking for 4 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is an unfenced stream bordering the garden.. A delightful detached barn conversion nestling on the edge of a working sheep farm in its own garden bordered on one side by a stream. It lies 300 yards from the owners’ home and walks abound from the doorstep into the rolling Sussex countryside. Bodiam Castle is a short drive and the Rother Valley offers holidaymakers boating and fishing. Take a trip on the Kent and East Sussex Vintage Steam Railway or experience Pullman dining. Pashley Manor, Great Dixter and Sissinghurst Gardens are a short drive. Rye 11 miles. Camber Sands 14½ miles. Fishing farm at Hawkhurst just 2 miles away. Golf course 5 miles. Shops 2 miles, pub/restaurant ½ mile.

Ivy Cottage was one of the best places we’ve had the pleasure of staying at.

Ivy Cottage was one of the best places we’ve had the pleasure of staying at. The barn has been renovated to a high standardand is very clean. The garden is characterful and spacious, and a feature of the property we loved. No issues at all with hot water and the bath was perfect, with more than enough towels. The provisions were brilliant including full supplies of essentials and bbq lighter packs for example. It’s incredibly private and the owners were so helpful when needed, giving advice on local attractions too. We visited Rye Harbour, Eastbourne, Hastings and Winchelsea Beach (very quiet with lots of roadside parking). The White Dog Inn was very friendly serving local produce. We would love to return to Ivy Cottage!

If you are looking for a quiet cosy relaxing location this is for you. Lovely welcome pack when we arrived. Our only negative was the no WiFi/tv signal, we didn’t mind the WiFi as much but we didn’t get TV reception for the whole visit, in this day and age a signal booster and free view would be great. We enjoyed many lovely baths and lots of jigsaws. Close to Hastings for shopping. The white Dog pub down the road was lovely too. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Fabulous cottage and garden, a real retreat and welcoming escape for couples and small families. You will need a car to get the best out of the location. Blessed with good gastropub food and ale if that is your bag. Glorious countryside and postcard pretty villages and hamlets. Within easy reach of Hastings, Rye and Tunbridge Wells. Days out in Brighton, Canterbury and Winstable as well as Romney Marsh and Camber Sands. Good rail links to London. Thoroughly enjoyable stay with the Lawrences as friendly hospitable hosts. Very well presented only thing that let it down was the mattress on the double bed, very uncomfortable, and pillows. Make sure you take essentials with you as shops are very few and far between. The gardens around the cottage are super, and we were very lucky with the warm weather in September so got to enjoy the beach in nearby Hastings and Rye Harbour. Cosy and comfortable

A really lovely place in the Sussex countryside. Cosy, comfortable and quiet. Very well equipped kitchen. Lots of green space outside for the kids to play in. Nice walks nearby along public footpaths to Great Dixter and Bodiam Castle, both around 30 minutes. The site of the Battle Of Hastings is 15 minutes drive south, at Battle.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks at Ivy cottage. It is beautifully situated in its quiet location and there are many attractions within a short distance. Best of all was the welcome we received and the careful thought that has gone into equipping the cottage to ensure an extremely comfortable stay.
