"The room was clean. The bed was clean and very comfortable. Slept like a log. Staff were very courteous and helpful. The food was very good. Poached eggs done to perfection. Will definitely stay there again. "

There were no electric sockets near headboard, we needed an extension cable running across the room. Corridor was in severe need of vaccuming. The property needs redecorating and deep cleaning."

"Really enjoyed our overnight stay. The twin room was spacious, beds and pillows so comfortable, and plenty of hot water for showers. The initial problem with the heating was sorted out very quickly. We had our evening meal here, and can highly recommend the food. What really stands out at The Carpenters Arms, is the staff. Many thanks to Richard, Holly and Paula and to everyone that helps make this such a great place. We would certainly be happy to stay again. "

"Debra and Drew were very welcoming hosts. We used The Barn as a lauch pad to visit Chartwell and Knole. Perfect choice. The accommodation was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. We were spoilt for choice regarding local eateries. We chose The White Hart for dinner and it was top knotch. "

"This quaint, Grade 2 Listed building housing the bar and reception desk has excellent, family staff. The guest rooms are modern in design, clean & spacious. My son and I enjoyed looking around the village and ate at one of the various resturaunt's located nearby. Nice and quiet overnight, We left this morning to drop off my son at Gatwick Airport (30 minutes drive) avoiding the risk of him missing his flight. (We would have had to use the M25 if we drove from our home)"

"Short business trip so was just looking for a cheap place to stay. Single room with all the essentials in a modern block of conference centre type rooms. The main building though is an old country house and is beautiful and used as a wedding venue. Breakfast included was very good. Would have liked to have stayed longer so I could look around the estate."

"What stood out for us was the support we had. My daughter's baby was born very premature in the local hospital. I spoke to the hotel and they were willing to give us a good price on a room as we didn't know how long we would need it for. They gave us a family room with an extra bed. They put a fridge in the room for expressed milk to be kept until it could be taken to the hospital. The hotel location was perfect as it's walking distance. "Fresh food, both dinner and breakfast were good. The staff were very friendly. Probably the biggest positive was the low room rate. I was very surprised to get my final bill. I think foreign tourists will love the combination pub/hotel."

"Some of the basics were not provided on our stay so really wasn't worth the money. Communication - didn't receive the check-in details by email as instructions said. The day before the stay I tried to contact the host multiple ways, including Hotels.com support x 2, with no luck. Eventually on the day of the stay I was told I would get the information at 12pm. At around 1pm I had not received the information so chased again. Was finally given the information at 2pm but was rudely told that...
