"This hotel met the the main criteria I have for being a good hotel. Fast WiFi, a hot powerful shower, and a good cooked breakfast. I also liked the decor of the bedroom, and how friendly the staff were. I'd happily stay here again."

"Clean and ample facilities, friendly staff, convenient & beautiful location. Our room was really spacious and close to kitchen, reception, bar and common room. 15 minute walk to Castleton centre and free parking. Just perfect. We’ve recommended to family already. "

"Finding Rushop Hall was a challenge - did I really have to drive up a bridle path? Yes! But so worth the journey. We'd asked for an evening meal and it was excellent: bruschetta, parma wrapped chicken breasts in a delicate sauce, chocolate brownies with icecream and a berry compote, as was the choice of wine. All freshly cooked. Stupendous breakfast too.
The bedroom was comfortable with a sofa, books to read, good toiletries. My only quibble was the pillows, which were a bit lumpy, and...

"Great stay, the room was well presented, warm and cosy. The staff, friendly. The meals in the pub, excellent. Breakfast in the tea room was also 1st class.
On our second night, we went to the pubs sister pub, The Anchor, and listened to the folk club. Absolutely brilliant. We will be back."
