"Simple but very nice place to stay in the mountains of Santo Antao for a few days. Very good breakfast and dinner. Only communication was sometimes a bit difficult, because host and staff only speak Portuguese."

"Place is new so its in good shape but the spa area and stores were still under construction. You also cant use the bridge to get to the beach. There are also beggars surrounding the area, wo safety is a huge concern. If you are a non-white person be prepared for the staff to give you awkward looks and constantly harass you to give your room number or room card anytime you go to the pool or breakfast. Theyll also try and argue with you that breakfast is not included in your booking despite...

"I booked the "suite" after reading other reviews, and it is a tiny little sweat box up three flights of stairs. Wild to charge so much for so little value. What saved it was the view, which is indeed lovely, and the kindness of the staff. "

"Positives:
The room was spacious and generally clean,
The view of the ocean is good.
The central atrium was nice and the staff were friendly
The proximity of the small supermarket
The choice of drinks and juices for breakfast
Negatives:
The hotel is run down and not at all like the photos. There is a general air of disrepair, beyond reception and the atrium.
There is an extension/conservatory next to the breakfast area that had significant leaks.
The breakfast itself was limited, the pastries...
