It does not say on the web page that the SWIMMING POOM is part of a kepp fit membership, and that has members that go there 1st thing in the morning and moan about children enjoying themselves while they are trying to get their lengths in. "Really nicely appointed hotel and very comfortable. There is plenty of parking You are offered a good choice for breakfast and it is very reasonable. Downside, it does not do evening meals so you have to make alternative arrangements. Fortunately there are quite a few pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Great that you can take your dog but they are not allowed in the large breakfast room and you are seated in the lounge on a sofa with a coffee table. Bizarrely the reason given is...

"The property is tired and rooms and bathrooms need updating. Beautiful old hotel with history! Staff extremely helpful with a smile. Breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately the boiler was not working in the main building but the rooms with hot water were too hot in 30+ degree temps, uncomfortable to sleep in, so we were given both rooms, one where it was cool enough to sleep in and the other we can have hot water. Very accommodating! Thank you."
