Upon our arrival we found the condo had not been turned over from the previous guests. The beds were unmade, trash was still in the trashcans, the showers were dirty, the floors were not swept and towels were on the floor. Our check in time was at 4 PM, I contacted the management company via messaging through VRBO. I did not hear anything back. I called the listed phone number and was able to speak with a person who said they would follow up. He later sent a text message that the housekeeping company and will send a crew out to clean the condo. Two people arrived around 8 PM and didn’t finish cleaning until after nine. This was highly disruptive as I have a small child and I had to have them taken out of the property due to the cleaning product smells and was unable to get them to bed until after 10pm. After the condo was cleaned the stay overall was very pleasant. The condo is very spacious and the property has a lot of amenities and the location is great and convenient to the beach.Dealing with the property management company, Grand Welcome, was very frustrating. Whenever you message you receive a generic response and that they will follow up but do not unless you contact them again. They were unable to offer any form of compensation for us missing out on multiple hours of use of the condo nor were they able to allow a few extra hours to extend our check out time.
