"This is an old, historic house with remarkable upgrades. It needs some cosmetic work, but it is comfy and fully furnished to meet modern needs. It is on the second floor and there is no elevator. People may want to take that into consideration when booking. It's very convenient to the Portsmouth waterfront, Naval Hospital and in summer, the HRT ferry to Norfolks waterside district."

"This was a great location to stay at because we were close to the waterfront and the Elizabeth River Ferry, fun shops and restaurants, and only a 30 minute drive from Virginia Beach. Everything was clean and cozy for us!"

"The description was accurate.The inside was cute and clean. The bed was comfortable, the shower worked great, the A/C kept the room at a perfect temperature, & there was a nice/smaller refrigerator to put enough things. We would come back again!"
