"Excellent , perfect add on to my Charleston french quarter trip. Beware the bad reviews are old, for a minute I was in doubt and after was very happy I made it. The hotel was renovated recently. Staff was extremely friendly starting from Holly at front desk and Lucas and Lucy at lodge and helping around. I was recovering from a broken foot and they made their best to acomodate my needs. "The property was nice and pet friendly. However the day of check out they were having the water worked on which threw off my plans for that morning. Couldn’t swim or go to the beach because I was not able to come back and shower. Everything else went well during the trip."

"Mariah was very nice however the pool was closed “because it rained earlier today” which seemed like a silly reason, so the kids weren’t able to swim after riding in the car which was the plan. The room key stopped working and had to be replaced after we had to go back to the front desk several times. The room was fine, the carpet needs to be replaced. FYI the Cracker Barrel next door was absolutely horrific but it was literally the only dining option in the area."
