We stayed here due to limited options with graduation weekend at Virginia Tech happening the same time we had a wedding to attend. Our bedspread had a red stain on it. "Literally right off the exit, the Wingate was surprisingly quiet. I was greeted nicely and carts were by the door to bring luggage upstairs. The desk clerk was helpful in sharing directions and breakfast was very good. It was an overall great stay and if the pool heater is repaired next time I travel through, I'll stay again."

"Room was clean. Our first room had no hot water but they quickly gave us a comparable room on the same floor. Gym room was well appointed with equipment and had water cooler. Breakfast was better than others I’ve seen with eggs, sausage, thin bacon, potatoes. Oranges were juicy and delicious. Front desk was courteous and helpful."
