This hotel has a beautiful property & a relaxing vibe but it’s clear that it isn’t being properly maintained. We experienced issues with our room almost every day of our stay. The AC didn’t work, there looked to be mold on the ceiling & on some of the pictures, switches were dirty & the mini fridge wasn’t working. Housekeeping failed to leave towels on one of the days.
One day the key card reader to our room stopped working. We were locked out for most of the day, it felt like we were being given the runaround. When they finally came to fix the door, they drilled a hole near the handle to get it open—leaving a dime-sized opening that felt like a peep hole. That alone was unsettling.
One day the property ran out of water & when it came back on, the toilet, sink, and shower were running brown water. We were told to let it run for 10 minutes, but even after 30 minutes it was still brown. While we were running the shower, worms appeared on the floor, which was unsettling. Our last day the key card failed again. After the first time, we were afraid to leave the room & risk being locked out right before our flight. We ended up sitting in the room instead of enjoying our last day. The food wasn’t great, so head next door instead. The staff were friendly & welcoming & the location made commuting easy (tell your driver “face potatoes”—they’ll know). Despite all the issues, no one attempted to make things right or apologize, which was disappointing. Beautiful place, rooms need TLC!
