The Carriage House is a beautifully decorated one bedroom, one bathroom apartment located on the property of the famous Villa Estrella Mar. Just minutes from the center of Old Town, Puerto Vallarta in a residential area, a minute to the beach down a long private stairway, the location is hard to beat.

The beautifully decorated apartment consists of a living room and fully equipped kitchen, a desk in case you need to get any work done during your stay, as well as the bedroom with a king size bed, and ensuite bathroom. There are is a terrace that looks out to the Villa and the Bay and a second enclosed terrace off the bedroom. The best part is, you aren't in a condo complex so you can have complete privacy.

We make sure to have a few cold drinks available on arrival to start your vacation off right.

There is daily maid service with staff who will do any laundry free of charge!

Ask to be connected to our amazing concierge who can assist with booking in unit massages, fun activities, transportation, meal or grocery delivery, you name it!

Can also be rented with Villa Estrella Mar or Villa Las Puertas to provide additional sleeping for two.

Such a great spot and relatively quiet for PV. The birds were our alarm clock and once up we sat and enjoyed our coffee on the little balcony. So many different coloured butterflies to see! Sunsets were amazing. A/C is a blessing as late afternoon is bright and warm if you happen to be in the suite. Our two and a half weeks flew by!

This rental is beautiful and the staff are awesome. The Carriage house sits above the main guest house, closer to the main road. Expect road noise and vibration from traffic. All staff, house guests and service workers enter and leave the property directly below your balcony. Perfect for additional guests when renting the main house.

We enjoyed our time in Puerto Vallarta and this condo was in a great location...not far from town and walkable if you go to the beach and walk from there. Oscar was absolutely wonderful and helpful when we had questions. The condo was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The housekeeping was fantastic...restocked water and coffee and did some laundry for us when needed. I would only say that there are a lot of stairs to the beach, so just be prepared to walk back up to the condo! We hope to visit again.

Staff is amazing. Place is clean and very quiet at night. The bed is good. It’s about 100 steps down to the beach-not too bad. Once you are down there it is easy to walk to Romantic Zone and Malecon. I traveled solo and felt very safe. One thing to keep in mind is that if you are staying in the Carriage house you do not have access to the pool. Over-all I highly recommend this place, especially if you want a quiet nights rest.

We would return again, and highly recommend this place to anyone (who can handle a lot of stairs) The proximity to everything, while feeling pleasantly secluded and private, is a bonus. Exceptional place! I do not know what I can add to the accurate and well-deserved glowing reviews. It’s wonderful and highly recommended. The everything you need to make yourself at home casita, carriage house offered privacy and quiet only steps away from various beach settings from rugged and rocky shores to hopping night life. There’s also a remarkable book of recommendations from outdoor activities to dining. Last but not least the staff is just amazing.

The Carriage House is a perfect respite for a couple with plenty of room. It was well appointed and although there were a couple items that we required, they were taken care of so very quickly. The daily maid service was an absolute treat, but we try to treat our rental as if it were our own home and tried to make as little work for maid service as we could.We were greeted courteously and cheerfully when we arrived and that cheerfulness was genuinely given by all the staff our whole stay.Having some welcome items in the fridge was a very kind touch and much appreciated.Thank you Jordan, and staff, so very much for a wonderful two weeks in November. We look forward to staying with you again.

A wonderful stay! We had ten days - the weather was hot but having AC and the ocean nearby made it all work out. We got in the ocean every day and while those stairs are no joke, it made taking a shower when we got back even more refreshing!

Beautiful, private property in perfect location

The Carriage House did not disappoint-it is exactly how it is represented in photos. The staff was very welcoming yet allowed us our privacy. From the moment we stepped onto the property, Arturo was there to let us in and show us where everything was (and made himself available throughout our stay). Oscar was beyond accommodating, answering our questions immediately and constantly bringing us cold drinks! The daily laundry service was a blessing; I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to not have to do laundry upon our return home. Magali cleaned daily, brought us plenty of fresh towels, and even turned paper towels and toilet paper into little works of art. The property is located in a quiet cul de sac off of Calle Santa Barbara. We had zero issues with excessive noise, and it was particularly peaceful at night, even with a party at the Villa. Access to Amapas and Conchas Chinas beaches was easy, and the location gives you the best of both worlds...an easy walk into town via the beach or 200, yet far away enough from the city for quiet nights. Uber rides were cheap, and we had everything we needed for our stay...all appliances worked and it is the perfect space for two people. The A/C worked well. We visit PV every year and have never felt unsafe anywhere that we have stayed, but The Carriage House felt exceptionally secure with Arturo on duty at night and the security gate in front of the stairwell to the apartment that locks. We will definitely be back!

The absolute BEST place to stay!!!

We love staying in this area! We’ve been 4 other times with: children, grandparents, and friends, but this is the first time that we have stayed in Amapas as a couple. There couldn’t be a better place than this. Incredibly close to every place you wanna be! Wonderful Mexican decor. Super quiet (it’s nice being on the downhill side of the highway). Also, very safe and affordable. They were very responsive, but also gave us our privacy. We will 100% stay here again. It was truly an amazing vacation, and it had a lot to do with.the lodging.

Lovely, peaceful stay near PV's highlights

The Carriage House was a lovely and very comfortable retreat from the hustle and bustle of town, yet close enough to easily walk along Playa de Los Muertes into the Romantic Zone for restaurants and sightseeing. We really enjoyed the small, relatively quiet beach at the foot of the private stairway. However, we didn't check out the waterfront walkway south of the beach until our last day; it's well worthwhile exploring as well. Staff were very friendly and always on hand as needed for questions and help. Laundry service was greatly appreciated! One caution: Be careful to keep any food/fruit in cupboards or the refrigerator. A saucy squirrel entered the suite several times during our stay and even helped itself to a banana and mango left on the counter! Thanks for the lovely stay, Jordan and Villa staff!

We stayed in the Carriage House for two weeks.The Carriage House is as described in the photos, it is clean & well maintained. The staff were efficient, friendly, daily maid & laundry service was a fantastic perk. Water, ground coffee, beer & soft drinks were provided upon our arrival. Water was replenished each day. The bedroom is huge with two closets, a safe, a king sized comfortable bed, side tables with lights and an ensuite. Soap, shampoo/ conditioner was provided. The Villa provides a night security personnel that walks around the grounds. The area around the Villa felt safe. The following are some things that we would have liked to know prior to renting: The Carriage House is situated in the Villa’s parking area, so therefore you will hear cars & delivery/ garage trucks coming & going, people/ staff walking & talking, laundry machines below could be heard operating at night. While in the House with the windows open, you can hear the nearby highway traffic easily. Sound travels easily within the unit. The living room furniture is clean and comfortable but they are not loungers. The staircase down to the beach is as described by other reviewers. There are two gates with codes to enter & exit the staircase for security. There are light switches at the top of the staircase to activate if you are returning to the property in the dark. The pathway to the beach & town is well lit. Oxo stores with 8 minute walk.

Lovely private place close to everything

We enjoyed the setting. The house is private with great views, surrounded by beautiful vegetation. The staff are great. The free daily laundry service is wonderful! The only downside is the crazy amount of steps to/from the beach. You need to be in moderately good shape to navigate thateasily

Great stay!

We loved staying at the Carriage house. It had great access to the beaches, our favorite was walking along the water to Conchas Chinas beach and then stopping back at Amapas beach before heading up the stairs. It was also very relaxing to walk home on the beach after grabbing dinner in town and witnessing all the various festivities happening in PV.

What an absolute joy this property was. So beautiful and comfortable. Highly recommend to anyone looking to visit Puerto Vallarta. Quiet location but so close to everything you could possibly need. Will be back no doubt!
