Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta was the prettiest resort in the area and the location was great. The food was amazing, especially at La Cevicheria and the breakfast buffet. The service at the restaurants and standard pool areas was also very good, the workers were very nice. Our view from our room was beautiful and there’s flowers planted in front of most of the balconies.
Unfortunately, the VIP service was terrible and not worth the extra money we spent. To gain access to most of the facilities (adult pool & hot tub, beach bar), you need to be of Fiesta Club status. However, the VIP service, especially at the adult pool and our personal concierge, ruined our experience. The adult pool only had two waiters and they would forget our orders everyday and would come back half an hour later asking what we ordered again and then would just give us the wrong drinks. We made sure to tip them a lot everyday as well, but this still happened. When you first check into the hotel, they assign you a concierge that forces you to walk around with them for an hour. They knew that we just got back from traveling all day and we were tired, we asked if we could please go to our room and at least change and take off our backpacks but they still forced us to walk with them. One person in our party is disabled and the walk ruined his mobility and experience for the entire trip because the concierge walked too fast and made him take the stairs instead of using the ramps.
Don’t get VIP.
