So very sad to see how this has been let go.
You can tell this was once a large and energy-filled place with a lot to offer. However it seems they were bought by foreign investors that have not put a single dime into upkeep. The result is now a dilapidated shell of what was once there. For example, the main 'castle' building is completely unusable - which makes for some pretty mis-representative photos of the facility. It's completely off limits and falling into ruin. Also the main lodge building is not in a state to house guests, despite Expedia taking bookings for those rooms.
We were luckily upgraded to a self contained cabin unit because of this, as a result of the extremely nice and friendly woman working the front desk. But you can see that even these chalets are in need of a lot of work. And whoever owns this place is not putting in the effort.
They also do not have access to the lake anymore, which is a huge negative.
It's really quite sad to see what was probably once a beautiful resort with so many cool things to do and grounds to explore, be left to fall apart and crumble. Very saddening.
