"We had an excellent stay at Porto Vecchio. The hotel itself is situated right in the old town about 2 streets back from the sea, in a pretty little corner on a lovely back street. As the old town is pedestrianised, we were dropped at the top of the main street by our taxi from the airport, 25 mins away, and had a short 5 min walk to the property. The reception is not manned at all times but someone was always at the end of the phone should you need any help and I believe, not far away either....
"Slept well and the room was in good standard. The beach bar/ restaurant had a good selection. Was able to cater for gluten free diet (just a few options for this, but glad they had some!). Handy with a shop within the hotel to get water, milk etc. Beach promenad in spitting distance with many restaurants and Chania old town a 15 min walk away. Great location and the beach was great! Do get water shoes as there are big stones in the water. "

"Amazing location, looking over the lighthouse and harbour. The owner is fantastic and very helpful. Parking in the area can be tricky; Talos square is often full so you need to park on the street. Breakfast is absolutely delicious and filling. I highly recommend."

The location is excellent — just a short walk from Chania’s charming Old Town. The rooms are comfortable, the shower is fantastic, and the amenities are high quality. One of the highlights was the pool area facing the sunset, and the jacuzzi overlooking the sea is simply amazing.
Breakfast had a good variety, and the orange pie was absolutely delicious — we just wish it had been available more than once! The staff were kind and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel very welcome.
The only downside is the lack of a gym, which would have made the experience perfect.
