"Staff was very friendly and view from our small but clean, comfortable room was amazing! The downside is that you have to haul your luggage up an old stone walkway and staircase to check in at The Water hotel. Unfortunately, our bags were 50 lbs (23kg) each. Luckily, a staffer offered to take them the rest of the way to our room at The Rock, which is more old stone stairs up to an old stone walkway away. There are no elevators. Thank goodness for Alberto!"

"Horrible experience, I don't recommend it. Hotel with zero accessibility and does not offer help with luggage. I booked a room with a king bed and we were placed in a room with two single beds. There's no point in complaining that they didn't solve it, they said it was just a matter of putting the beds together. Weak breakfast and restaurant with non-Chinese food. "Room was spotless, well appointed and cleaned daily. Towels changed regularly also. Breakfast was repetitive but filling and honest. Happy hour was excellent with some amazing cocktails. The grounds and pool area were beautifully maintained and both quiet and relaxing. Staff were friendly and visible at all times, nothing was too much trouble. "We had a great stay at Margi House. The room was beautifully furnished, and the outdoor jacuzzi was so lovely. The hill, which many mentioned, wasn’t too bad and was easily doable. The receptionist was super helpful and friendly - always with a smile on her face. Just a few things that could be improved: our coffee & water glasses weren’t cleaned until the last day. Since we didn’t have a kitchenette, this would have been nice. The main pool was lovely, but we did have to fish out a lot of bugs...

John was absolutely amazing and very easy to reach, he helped set up an airport transfer for when we got to the island, gave us recommendations on places to eat and see on the island, and was easy to reach had we needed anything at all. "Wardrobe had a light in which kept clicking all night keeping us awake. People outside the hotel used the pool and beach seats making it difficult to get a seat.
