The only issue we had was parking there was underground parking available, it cost us 78 for two days parking. So yes parking is available, as the listing states, but at an additional cost

Beautiful views from this central apartment

We stayed for three weeks. The apartment is very central with great views. Lots of restaurants nearby. Right beside the Sao Bento train station. The property manager Francisco is great. Internet was great. Did many video calls. Well equipped. Great stay. Thank you Francisco.

Terrible Customer Service

Amazing location with a terrible host. 1 - The contact information was incorrect on the VRBO reservation making it very difficult to get in touch with the host. When I did get in contact with him he told me he'd been asking VRBO to update the contact information for one month but they have not. After looking online it shows a host can update the property details themselves and it will appear update on the site within 24 hours. He was not being truthful with me. 2 - There was no shampoo or bath soap in either bathroom. I told him this but he DID NOT PROVIDE SHAMPOO OR SOAP FOR OUR TWO DAYS. 3 - On VBRO it lists "parking" as feature. It does not say "parking is paid by customer" so it seems clear to me that there was a parking spot along with the apartment. This is not the case and we paid 67 Euros for a day and a half of parking. The property is also listed on a different site and there it says "parking is paid by customer". 4 - On our reservation it listed a garage where we could park. This was the incorrect garage. Again, Francis lied to me and said he had asked VBRO to change it for one month but they had not. 5 - Many little things. This is billed as a luxury apartment but there are broken tiles in the kitchen, mold in the washing machine, the clock battery was dead, the ashtray had not been emptied, there was A LOT of mildew in the shower, etc. I strongly suggest finding another place to stay.

In the middle of it all!!

This is a great property to stay at if youā€™re looking for easy access to the train, metro, trams, old town, waterfront, restaurants, galleries, museums, gardensā€¦. You name it, youā€™ll be able to get there easily from here! Be prepared to climb 5 flights of stairs but the view is worth the extra effort! There is a lot of metro construction happening directly in front of the building so access is a bit limited right now, but if you pack your patience itā€™s easy to navigate. The parking lot for the building is expensive but it was more convenient parking there than trying to find street parking in a historical district. Despite the construction, itā€™s surprisingly quiet and dark with double paned windows and beautiful shutters. The property manager, Francis, was easy to communicate with and takes great pride in the building and care of the unit. Thank you for a great visit!!!

Could have been better...

The apartment itself was good, location is decent too, but there were some serious issues to deal with. There were two leaks in the main bathroom. Plus heating and hot water stopped working the day after we checked-in. Host communicated promptly and asked me to run a series of steps with the water heater, which I did successfully- once, but then it broke again and I spent approximately an hour around midnight trying different things but with no success. We reluctantly moved to another property of the same host 10 mins away, it was a nice property but it was just a hassle to pack, move and unpack.

Beautiful Apartment

As other reviewers have commented, this is a lovely property in an excellent location. Both the stairs and the low height of the very comfortable bed may be an issue for those with mobility limitations, but it was fine for us. If you plan on doing laundry be aware that there is no dryer in the unit- you will need to hang your clothes on a rack on the balcony. We also had a few minor hiccups with the heat and hot water unit, but Pedro was very helpful in quickly resolving the issue even late at night. He also gave us very clear instructions prior to arrival and plenty of great recommendations on foods to try.

Great stay

Location is great. Within walking distance of everything you need or want to do in Porto. No big deal but a new metro line is being built right below the apartment. As many reviews point out, climbing 85 stairs up to your apartment means having mobility is a must. Pedro our host was very helpful and gave us plenty of information on things to do.

Wonderful central location

This place is a superb find. It is close to many of the attractions and sights to see. It was surprisingly quiet. The washer let us catch up on our laundry between two halves of our trips. The links and brochure provided to us were very complete and helpful. Full kitchen fast internet. Our only down side was the 84 steps to get to the front door. They were even and wide steps but would have been better if we didnā€™t have 2 30kg bags šŸ˜”. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Central Apartment

We stayed for three weeks. The apartment is in an amazing location right across from the Sao Bento train station and metro station. Lots of amazing restaurants in the area. Pedro itā€™s nice guy and easy to work with. The apartment is up 85 stairs so you better be fit and up to the climb. But the views from the balcony are worth it.

Awesome location, beautiful apartment.

Situated directly across from the train station, this apartment is newly remodeled and very comfortable. With 1.5 baths and a washing machine, it meets every need. Nice balconies (yes two) to relax at night and observe the bustle below.

Spectacular!

We had a great stay in Porto. The apartment is really nice, clean and comfortable. Love the location, with all the hustle and bustle. Fun to sit on the balcony in the evening, listening to all the sounds of the city. Close the doors, and all quiet. We walked the local streets for great food, drinks and street performers. Drove to the Douro valley to visit Sandeman for a tour. Walked the local cathedrals and then down to the river. Crossed into Gaia for a fantastic lunch. Highly recommended!

Unique view of Porto

The townhome is right in the middle of the historical district and sitting on the upstairs balcony offers a view of the city and all the bustle below. The townhouse is lovely but you do need to be fit to climb the four flights of stairs - part of the fun of Europe. This and a couple of maintenance issues were the only items that took off a star for us. The hosts kindly provided many amenities, suggestions for sights to see and dining experiences that I can vouch for as being delicious. It was a bit difficult to reach Ricardo in the days before our stay but once this sorted out he and Victor were easy to chat with and responded to our questions. A perfect spot close to dining, nightlife and many of the sights of Porto.

Perfect location but too many stairs

This is a great apartment, centrally located and well featured. The upper balcony, in particular, is great for sitting and watching the goings on in the city. The apartment has a comfortable bed, a good kitchen and a good bathroom. The lounge is comfortable. That said, we couldn't stay here (we lasted two nights), as the steep stairs were too much for us. Others have noted the stairs but if you are not reasonably fit or have leg issues, this is not the apartment for you. If you are reasonably fit, this is probably one of the best in Porto. There were also maintenance issues with the apartment when we were there, but all of those are fixable, so I reduced the stars to 3 (one for the stairs and one for the maintenance issues). Key points: Great central location, good apartment, steep stairs.

Amazing Place

Our vacation to Porto was fabulous and this property added to it. The location could not be better. It is located in the middle of everything. We were able to walk almost anywhere we wanted to go. The apartment was clean and well kept. Ricardo was so pleasant and easy to work with. I would definitely stay here again.

Great apartment, location and view

With our first trip to Porto we stayed in this lovely city apartment. The location was great, across from the train station. We were close to restaurants, beautiful old historic buildings, tourist information, shopping and small food markets. Everything is within walking distance. One thing to note, there is no elevator in the building. The pictures truly represent the apartment. The views of the city were magnificent from our two patios. Very clean! Ricardo could not have been more accommodating. He provided written information for everything in the apartment. Reviewed the map of the city with us and gave us restaurant recommendations and places to be sure and visit. I would highly recommend this apartment and my husband and I look forward to renting again from Ricardo.

Stylish and central with amazing rooftop views

A modern, spacious, stylish, fun, clean and very central apartment. Perfect location and everything we needed. A very special balcony which overlooks bustling central Porto and is a perfect sun trap. Ricardo was such a fantastic host and we were made to feel at home in Porto very quickly.

Comfortable apartment in a great location

Great apartment in a superb location. As well as it being in walking distance to many sights it is located across the road from Sao Bento railway station and right next to a metro station. The bus stop to Vila de Gaia and the beaches is right outside too. The apartment is comfortable and well equipped with a large bedroom on the upper floor with lots of storage space. Everything is clean and very modern. Ricardo met us and gave us lots of helpful advice and suggestions on where to visit. We would definitely stay there again when we return to the city. Be aware the apartment is on the 4th floor with no lift but the views are great when you reach the top! Being based in the centre of the city (as with most apartments ) it can be noisy but once the windows are closed it's very quiet.

Les propriĆ©taires sont rĆ©actifs et sympathiques. La location est conforme et tout est fonctionnel. Le quartier est bruyant mais c'est le lot du centre ville et, une fois les fenĆŖtres fermĆ©es, on est tranquille. Aucun souci pour le paiement avec Paypal. La caution est remboursĆ©e en express. Je recommande donc cet appartement.

Amazing!

Great location and awesome apartment with all amenities. Close to many sights. Although Ricardo was not there to greet us, he had made arrangements for his friend Antonio to meet us. Antonio was extremely helpful in offering a brief synopsis of where to go and what to eat. His recommendations for restaurants were superb! During our stay, Ricardo emailed and asked if we needed anything. We appreciated the follow up. The comfort and terrific experience at the apartment made our stay in Porto even more memorable!!!
