Villa Aquamarine is a stone-built villa in the renowned holiday region of Chania, in the resort town of Kolymbari and right on the Rapaniana beachfront. This beachfront family villa can accommodate up to 6 adult guests and has all the amenities to ensure the perfect vacation.

The Villa Aquamarine on Sea has a spacious living room with comfortable sofas. This holiday home offers satellite TV, a DVD player, a music system, and Wi-Fi for guests to enjoy. The dining area is beautifully decorated with rustic finishes and elegant furniture. The modern country-style kitchen is equipped with all the mod cons including a microwave, coffee machine filter and espresso capsule machine, and dishwasher.

Upstairs is home to 2 double bedrooms with seaside décor and beautiful large doors leading out to a shared terrace with sea views. Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. Linens and towels are provided for the guests` convenience. The lower floor has another double bedroom as well as a sofa bed and another bathroom.

This traditional villa has a phenomenal outdoor entertainment area, boasting a swimming pool, a covered seating area, sun loungers, and an outdoor kitchen, BBQ, and dining area. The eco-friendly design of the villa blends in perfectly with the local surroundings. Thanks to its location in front of the sea, the views are stunning, making Villa Aquamarine the perfect choice for a once-in-a-lifetime getaway.

The villa is a short drive away from the famous Falassarna beach, and just 15 minutes away from Kissamos Harbour, the starting point of the renowned Gramvousa and Balos lagoon boat trip.

•Lower Ground floor: (elevated basement with windows) with one bedroom(with two single beds) and one bathroom.
•Ground floor: On the ground level there is a spacious lounge, a separate dining room and a fully equipped kitchen.
•First floor: On the first floor there are two large bedrooms each with a private bath room and balcony. The balconies have a breathtaking view of the sea. The one bedroom with one double bed and the second bedroom with two single beds.

Villa Aquamarine is in Kolymbari, a quaint fishing village 23km from the city of Chania. The popular Falassarna beach is a close drive from the villa, and just 15 minutes away is Kissamos Harbour, offering Gramvousa and Balos lagoon boat outings.

An outing to the nearby 13th Century Gonia Monastery is highly recommended. Local farms can be seen cultivating grapevines, vegetables, and olive and citrus trees. Fresh produce is in ample supply. The village is home to essentials including an ATM, bakery, bus stop, pharmacy, post office, supermarket, and souvenir shops. There is a selection of taverns and cafés along the beachfront. The nearby towns of Platanias, Agia Marina, Chania, and Old Venetian Town offer a great selection of shops, nightlife, and services, including the Chania International Airport and the Chania General Hospital (St. George’s).

A car is necessary for your transportation. We can also organize a transfer in order to come to the villa and the day after rental cars can be delivered at the property

Sustainability

-The villa uses solar systems in order to heat the water
-Most of the light bulbs are replaced with LED lumps
-The villa only uses water-efficient toilets e.g. low-flow toilets, dual flush toilets
-All windows are double-glazed
-Offer tours and activities organized by local guides and businesses

This is a house and not a hotel, so please treat the property with respect as if it was your own :)
1. You can arrive at your accommodation after 16:00 on the Arrival Date of your holiday and you must leave by 10:30 on the Departure Date. But in any case if you wish to arrive earlier or depart later than the mentioned hours feel free to contact us and we will fulfill your request if the villa is available with no extra cost. If your arrival will be delayed, you must contact us so that alternative arrangements can be made. If you fail to do so you may not be able to gain access to the Property. If you fail to arrive by midday on the day after the Arrival Date and you have not contacted us, we may treat the booking as having been cancelled by you.

2. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not enter the property or stay overnight in the property. Any kind of Party for more than the people staying in the property must be informed prior booking the villa, which in some cases it might not be accepted and if accepted extra charge might apply. In case you do so, we can refuse to hand over the Property to you, or can require you to leave. We will treat any of these circumstances as a cancelation of the booking by you and we shall be under no obligation to refund you for any fees already paid to us
in those circumstances. Any refund will be at our sole discretion.

3. Every effort has been made to ensure that you have an enjoyable and memorable holiday. If however, you have any cause for complaint it is important that action is taken as soon as possible. It is essential that you contact us if any problem arises so that it can be speedily resolved. It is often extremely difficult (and sometimes impossible) for us to resolve difficulties properly unless we are promptly notified. In particular, complaints of a transient nature(example: electric power issues, warm water is out etc.) cannot possibly be investigated unless you will let us know as soon as possible whilst you are in residence.
Also after staying in the property for 48 hours and we have not received any message or email from you about any broken facilities/amenities in the property, we will hold the guest responsible for any damages caused and must be paid or replaced by the guest on spot.

4. Smoking is Not allowed in the properties so we request all of our guests not to smoke in the properties
but to smoke outside on the exterior areas such us by swimming pools, balconies, verandas, patios or terrace

5. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. Cleaning and linnen change is done every 3/4 days.
In case you wish for the villa to be cleaned more often, it’s possible for an extra charge.

6. Hot Tub/bathtub: No children under the age of 5 permitted in hot tubs at any time without adult supervision. When using the hot tub, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk. Our housekeepers drain, sanitize, refill and replenish chemicals in all tubs prior to your arrival therefore it may not be warm until later that evening.

7. Pool: The pool is not covered, built to the standards of the Greek Tourism Organization EOT. Parents have full responsibility for supervision of their minor children No children under the age of 12 permitted the pool at any time without adult supervision. When using the pool, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk.

8. Tenants agree to respect the property. In case of any damage that will be made, the tenants will have to pay the cost on the spot and before leaving the villa.

9. The owner agrees to provide a clean home, cleaned just before the arrival of tenants.
Cleaning is done by us, changing towels and bed linen is included in the price.

Really nice villa, right on the beach

The villa, one of a group of 4, is well situated, and George, the owner, who proved to be an excellent host, lives in one. The villa is equipped to a very high standard, a welcome pack was included, and extremely well cleaned and maintained. I'd give it 5 stars, but the third bedroom is more suitable for children than adults, which might not suit a large group of adults. The beach along that stretch of coast is mostly pebble, so a pair of old trainers or beach shoes works well. Apart from that, we would very highly recommend the villa.

Superb Building in a convenient but potentially busy region

I'll start with the positives (of which there were many): The home is beautifully built and smartly finished/ furnished. It's one of 4 buildings in the small enclave - each with its own pool. 2 of the 4 (including the one that we stayed in) faces directly onto the beach. The two main bedrooms upstairs are separated by a hallway, so there's privacy. Each has its own deck with view. The master bedroom bed is comfortable. But we found the other beds are thin and too firm. The WiFi signal is quite robust. There is a television with some English content. George, who looks after the place (and lives in one of the other buildings), was always responsive and helpful. The place was meticulously clean, inside and out. There were guests at the other two buildings, who we saw and heard, from time to time - so if you're looking for total privacy, be aware of this. Perhaps more importantly, be aware that down the beach, in both directions, are resorts, so there is a lot of foot traffic in front and in the laneway. There is also a waterpark down the lane. It was closed as we were early in the season, but I imagine it would cause some noise is high season. The location is great, as you're only around a 35-minute drive to Chania, and 20 to Kissamos. Yet there are all necessary amenities in the small town(s) very close to you (restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, etc). And if you're there on a Friday, don't miss the nearby market! Overall, it was a great stay in a wonderful home!
