"Fantastic location with sea views to die for, I could happily spend hours just sitting on the balcony watching the ships coming into the harbour. "Yes, host was very accommodating. Met us there and gave us the rundown. I wouldn't change my rating for it but best to know that it is a long drive on winding mountain roads to get there. Once there though the place is quite unique and roomy. Definitely feel you are on a mountainous hillside in Crete - cats, goats donkeys and all! "

"We had a fantastic week. If you're after privacy and away from the busy tourist areas, then villa Jokasta will deliver. The villa lived up to to it's description and did not disappoint. A hire/rental car is essential, and the roads to villa are an adventure. But, once at the villa the drive is soon forgotten.A small maintenance issue with 1 of the toilets. But as there are 3 bathrooms in the villa it really wasn't an inconvenience. An email to the owner to report the problem received a reply...

"The Hotel is in a charming location in the old Harbor,with nice restaurants around;The hotel staff,all of them,are very helpful and kind,they helped us in making reservations to restaurants as well..The Breakfast was the highest highlight for us,local and international products,lots of options,everything was very tasty and fresh,high quality! We didn’t like the Room beds,extremely soft and seemed to be old,we didn’t sleep well unfortunately,with some back pain after the night,both of us..If the beds in our room were better,I would give 5 stars for our stay,but unfortunately we didn’t like them."
