"I made this booking at the very last minute. The room was lovely and is ideal for accessing Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway as well as the wineries in Nelson County. Bed was comfy, bathroom good, and had a microwave and fridge. There is no on site staff, which would not have been a problem except I booked very very last minute. Contacted the hotel via hotels.com and email to get my room code. That process took 2 hours or so which was reasonable. Only issues during the stay were that...

"The Virginia Guesthouse is a new hotel and conference center, right next to the University of Virginia. The staff were very friendly and helpful! Including providing a late checkout at 12 instead of 11, and holding our bags in their luggage check while we were still in town for the afternoon after checkout. The rooms are nicely designed and being brand new are perfectly clean. Throughout the hotel, there are lots of spaces designed in, such as gathering areas and libraries. The hotel is well...

"I stayed one night at Sleep Inn and Suites. Upon arrival, I had a quick and easy check-in; both of the individuals were extremely welcoming and helpful. My trip consisted of visiting the nearby Monticello, which made this a very convenient location to stay at. The room was clean and as described, although the guy at the counter did upgrade me (free of charge) to a king size bed which was nice. I would recommend this hotel if you’re in the area and visiting Monticello."

"A “fine” stay. I booked this property for the pool which was out of order. Staff not engaging or helpful other than the lovely breakfast area gentleman. Room was very good and met our needs."

"Unique and fun property with a 1960's design - both exterior and interior. It even included a 1960's pink princess telephone. But the motel had the comforts of 2026 with a jumbo size TV, comfortable bed and pillows and large bathroom. Each room had a record player with records. I was excited to spin some 33's but both the record player in my room and a second I secured from the lobby were broken. The staff said they were not familiar with how they worked and could not offer any assistance....

"The staff were accommodating. The breakfast was horrible. The eggs were placed out with lots of water in the serving dish the oatmeal was lumpy, the sausage looked and taste under cooked. The fridge in the room cuts off, leaving items placed very warm. Didn't have trash bags in wastebaskets. someone came in my room while I was out a stole little personal items, eye drops and travel body care products, I could tell that someone had went through my bags and clothing left on the bed."
