"We stayed for a week during spring time, dogwoods bloomed and so was rhododendron and azelias, iy was a piece of heaven. It was nice and comfortable for the two of us. Old time charm and updated fitures that are a necessity. Neighborhood is super quite, which was important after a day of work. Allison was very helpful, always promptly answered any questionsthat we had. Snack bar items and everything that you might need for tea or coffee was also a nice bonus. "

"Very nice experience. Staff was very courteous, efficient and friendly. NOT a complaint, but, one of the sliding doors in the room was completely off track. Did not impact stay at all."

"I didn’t like one of the ladies that check you in she rude rude she cater to the white people, but gave the Black people a hard way to go and that’s not cool. She just that when we came down for breakfast and all we ate breakfast was one day there she criticize us. I wish I could remember her name, but I can’t, but we had the same problem last year too."

"The home is very secluded and has a magnificent view! The interior is gorgeous and perfect for a couple. The home faces west so the sunsets over the mountains and the James River are spectacular! There isn't a lot nearby in terms of grocery stores or restaurants. You'll have to travel 20 mins or so (as far as we could tell) to get to anything like that so bring your groceries. "Such a great place to stay. Had everything you need. Love the theme, made us feel at home. Kids had a blast with the creek and the toys in the kids room. Enjoyed the firepit and the hot tub. Comfy beds. We would love to stay again!"
