"We’re in our sixties. We like hanging out at the pool and getting a beverage or two. The main pool at VH is more suited to a younger crowd: it’s loud, it’s busy, it’s a place to hook up. There’s nothing wrong with the hotel, if you forgive them dirty towels and dingy bedding. Maybe three decades ago this would have been the place, but we’re beyond the Daytona Beach vibe you get at the centerpiece of the hotel. "The resort was amazing — well manicured and appointed. Large comfortable rooms. Comfy (soft) beds. Good pillows and nice lighting. Staff were above and beyond kind and attentive and the pool/cabana situation was delightful. Cleaned each morning by the maintenance crew and ready for early morning swimmers/sun bathers. Would absolutely return."
